then we can go back to more sophisticated material that these simpletons wouldn’t understand.

In years past I’ve felt Iowa should win due to the talent and coaching edge.

But his year is going to be an absolute battle. Good coaching, good athletes. Last year’s game should keep the Hawkeyes plenty humble heading into that week.

There. That’s really the only relevant point to be made about anything ISU related. Now let’s move the discussion back to where it belongs. Fant-bombs and all

I, for one, can hardly wait to read the "sophisticated material" that's apparently on its way now. One question, why have ya'll been holding it back for so many years?

Honest to God, do you buffoons have a website of your own to hang out on? Trolling another team's website is about as pathetic as it gets. You know, there are free porn sites you could go to. It would no doubt be an education for you losers because I doubt you have ever seen a human vagina.

Just for all the comments lately Cytwins, we will not be using any lube this year. There's no way any fan base is more obsessed with their big brother than Campbells Clowns. #Hawksarebetterandalwayswillbe

It's posts like this that bring it on ourselves. This board deserves every Gopher, Clone and Husker troll that comes over pissing on it.

This board, overall - is incredibly childish. And considering it's a free board...if we cannot take the heat, don't post like a 10 year old.

Yes.....lets get the ISU stuff ON THE TABLE....

Couldn't agree more.

If I never saw another thread started on here about Nebraska or Iowa State, I would be ecstatic.

Especially since the Clones and Huskers are well below our level of sophistication.

I've said before that if you set a minimum age limit of 18, two-thirds of the posters would disappear. And if you eliminated anonymity, there'd be about half a dozen of us left and we'd probably have a pretty good discussion or two.

After the Iowa/ISU game last year, I predicted ISU would win a "minimum of 6 games" that season. I think they are at least entering a new era where anything less than 7 will be disappointing for them -especially this year.

I don't know if they have the horses to maintain a top 25 position by seasons end however. I think their defense let's them down late this year.

Your name is Lone Clone??:D
I've always had my real name listed in my bio.

Edit: Just checked, and it looks like the format has changed or something. It used to be that if you clicked on the poster's name, the personal info included his/her real name unless the poster chose not to reveal it. Hmmmmmmm.

Doubt this. First I don't think people under the age of 18 spent too much time on message boards anymore. It's all social media. As far as anonymity people say stupid s*** behind their keyboards even when you know who they are. It's face to face when people back off a little bit.

A couple of things on ISU. They were like +10 on turnovers last year. That would be due to revert to mean. They lost their safeties. I think Iowa will have a field day with the tight ends on seam routes. Iowa by 14

Iowa will certainly get some heavy man coverage. The extra help will be shadowing Fant. ISU should have an easy time in man with multiple all conf corners returning. Iowa will have to successfully run the ball to win and I don't see that happening. Clones by 7-10

Indeed, the Iowa TE’s are the one thing that scares the heck out of me as an ISU fan. The Iowa WR’s....scare no one. Iowa’s ground game is always tough to stop, so this game IMHO comes down to how well ISU handles iowa’s play action and TE across the middle stuff...and how well Iowa slows down Montgomery.

Two good but not great teams in a heated rivalry...one veteran and proven coach vs an up and coming future star....two smart, solid and very experienced QB’s...that’s what makes college football the greatest sport on earth!

And to think there are fools from both fan bases who want to end this great series. Insanity, what could be more fun/entertaining than this kind of rivalry...and for the past 20 years, it truly has been a rivalry on the field.

And FYI, I’d trade a road loss to Iowa for a home win against OU in the ensuing game in a New York minute...but I feel greedy this year and want both wins.

Man coverage wasn't exactly working against ISM and Vandeberg, and it's certainly not going to work against Fant and Hockensen, especially with so much focus on the former.

Wait-Kempt is "very experienced"? He played 8 games last year. He played a couple of minutes in one game in 16. He held a clipboard at JC. That constitutes "very experienced"? Well, probably to a fanbase that believes one 8-win season is evidence of an emerging giant.
And you aren't worried about the WRs? ISM says hi. That skinny true freshman didn't seem too intimidated by Peavey last year.

Must not have gone man coverage last year. Stanley had 333 yards passing, 5 TDs and 0 INTs on the road in his 2nd start.

Kempt is a cool cucumber under fire and started most of the season...including in some HUGE wins against top 5 opponents...so yes, I considered him tested and well seasoned as a QB. Feel free to perceive him as inexperienced if that makes you feel better. He has his flaws...not the strongest arm nor the quickest feet, but he generally plays within himself and is very productive...that's generally the best sign of a QB who is mature and experienced enough to get the job done for his team.

As for ISM, he's a decent receiver...but when you compare to what ISU faces continuously from the WR corps in the B12, he's just an average player. Iowa's TE's on the other hand, are exceptional and make life difficult for any defensive coordinator. I don't think I'm going out on a limb with this description...most Hawk fans would likely agree with that assessment. At least, the one's who can take off the fan goggles and look at things from analyst's perspective would.

Clone Trolls must be worried their posts will get lost over on Cyclone Report in one of the 900 page threads about the Hawks

Stanley played very well, and Vandeberg and Easley were a pain in the bubkis. Are those two playing WR for Iowa in the 2018 game? Nobody is saying ISM sucks, but as a threat he's negligible in comparison to Fant and Hockenson.

Again, you are missing the point. I wasn't bragging on ISM. By rights, he should have redshirted last year. The point is he made Peavey his bitch that game. Peavey wasn't even in contact with him on his 1st td.
I don't consider Stanley to be "very experienced" and he played every snap last year. I guess it is just another example of perceptions of a fan base who is used to winning and another fan base whose tiny weiners are still engorged over an 8-5 season.

All Big 12 corners? is that the equivalent of being voted most athletic kid at computer camp?

To answer your ? Easley will be playing in the game this year.

I have no cat at this time. Our last cat, Figaro went to that big litter box in the sky about five years ago, just short of his 22nd birthday. Our last foster cat, Dorian, was with us while recuperating from a leg amputation and then went back to the shelter for adoption.

They will bracket the TEs. The WRs won't be a problem in man coverage

In the 2nd game of the year with what turned out to be the wrong QB for ISU. That vaunted B10 defense gave up 41 points. ISU will certainly take it's chance with a QB who doesn't throw red zone ints.

It’s been like 15 years since isu beat iowa by that margin.

I'm concerned about Iowa's tight ends because they ALWAYS kill us, even when they're nowhere near as good as Fant.

My hopes for an ISU victory are tied to the other side of the ball. Cyclones need to score points and keep it away from the Hawks. I realize that's the case with every opponent every week, but it's especially true in this game.
