Watching MSU and PSU beat the OL off the ball these last 2 weeks has been a major bummer. Wadley does not stand a chance. We have an athletic RB that needs space but can't get it which is a double kill because he is a runner that can't run through contact he has to run around it. With this OL we need one of those traditional power Iowa RB's that can run through first contact and still pick up 3-4yds. Unfortunately that RB is just somehow not on the roster. The OL has no foot speed to get down the line and block for Wadley when plays swing outside.

Boone Meyers especially looks slow. He just doesn't look healthy.

OL recruiting and development has been very so so. Some of these guys look like they are playing injured. Looks as if there is no depth. If you have no depth and the OL is limping this early in the B1G season things dont look good.

Agree the OL looks very bad. Iowa has to make teams pay for overplaying the run. I wonder if we should see more runs out of the shotgun and power backs putting Wadley in motion more. Glad the Illini and bye are next up. My guess is the run blocking will improve greatly by Nov.

Akrum Wadley is 1/2 the size of Leshun Daniels and I'd be willing to bet his yards after contact were off the charts compared to Daniels. Inside or outside the Tackles.

Wadley runs HARD and with power for a guy his size. Simply put, he isn't the problem.

Young is a big, down hill runner, head of steam, always fall forward guy from the looks of him a few weeks ago. Should work him in.

Yeah, slow as dirt. But think how devasting a mud slide can be.

I got nothing. They slow.
