OMG AUBURN GETTING HOSED!

So basic nobody picked up on it until after game.
I find it comical that this is so basic all of a sudden. Yeah they missed it but no one know notices if it happens with 10 minutes left to play in the game. The foul on the 3-pointer no matter how much you dissect it that was a foul.

The foul on the three looked pretty legit. Auburn guy was standing right where the shooter was supposed to land. Obvious contact while in the air. The missed double dribble is inexcusable. Where is the accountability?

There is none, and don’t you dare bring it up if you’re a player or coach.

Definitely a foul on the shot, and it looked like it affected the shot. OTOH, 99 of 100 officials would swallow the whistle.

Auburn guy was playing tight D. I am sure people would live wrongly called double dribble calls every time a ball was tipped away during tight defense.
If it happened to ISU in a National Semi Final game you'd feel the say way?

Yes. I am a UNI guy.

It was subtle. It wasn’t like Chris Weber talking four steps and nothing called.

Imagine if Michigan came down and won game after Weber walking in back court. Even a grade school kid knew that was traveling.

But, bottom line, UVA got bailed out on 2 calls with under 5 seconds to go in the game and AU up 62-60:

* Missed double dribble should have given the ball back to Auburn with AU up 62-60 with 2.9 seconds to go in the game

* Foul called on AU on Guy's 3 point shot, which like you say, rarely gets called at the end of games. Those 3 FTs were the difference. UVA wins, 63-62
Nah only one call. Game situation shouldn’t dictate whether or not something is a foul. If it’s a foul, it’s a foul, and Auburn’s player made contact with the guy mid-air. If that’s an Iowa player taking the shot and that doesn’t get called, I’m losing my absolute sh*t.

Doesn’t change the fact that that play should never have happened

The foul call was correct. I didn't like that the ref was anticipating the call (had his arm halfway up as Guy went up for the shot). If he got the shot off clean and contact after, I say swallow the whistle. He got bumped in the process of the shot, so it needed to be called.

Fun game, though. America should be rooting for Michigan State . Nobody wants to see a 36-32 championship game.

That was the most gratifying non-Iowa college basketball win I’ve ever seen. Answers the question of whether you’d be cool with an Iowa coach selling his soul to build a championship caliber program. Those who do get bit in the balls by an evil temptress named Karma.

This. Liking Michigan State to win the whole enchilada.

This is the freakin Final Four for God's sake. That missed double dribble should have NEVER happened on this big of stage. CBS can try to minimize and sugar coat this all they want, but every college basketball fan knows better. Continued chatter over that last foul call is nothing more than a way to cover-up for the unacceptable officiating we all witnessed.

Bottom line, UVA got bailed out on 2 calls with under 5 seconds to go in the game and AU up 62-60:

The Two Bail Out Calls:

* Missed double dribble on Jerome should have given the ball back to Auburn with AU up 62-60 with 2.9 seconds to go in the game.

Instead, UVA got to inbound the ball, which led to this:

* Foul called on AU on Guy's 3 point shot, which like many of you would say, rarely gets called at the end of games. Was it a foul? Yes. Does it consistently get called? No. Those 3 FTs by Guy were the difference. UVA wins, 63-62

And the media's reaction to the way the game ended? Well, take a look:

After the double dribble he was fouled at the half court line. They let Virginia inbound it from the 3 point line.

Chuck was pretty classy about the whole thing afterwords. Can only imagine how upset he is about the whole thing. Big run to come back just to lose like that. I get he can't freak out in his position but he seems like a classy guy.

By rule, was Auburn also fouled on the last shot?
