No because the shooter landed then fell into the Virginia defenderBy rule, was Auburn also fouled on the last shot?

The foul call was correct. I didn't like that the ref was anticipating the call (had his arm halfway up as Guy went up for the shot). If he got the shot off clean and contact after, I say swallow the whistle. He got bumped in the process of the shot, so it needed to be called.
Fun game, though. America should be rooting for Michigan State . Nobody wants to see a 36-32 championship game.
That double dribble is rarely called. We see things like that all the time, but almost never called.
Definitely a foul on the shot, and it looked like it affected the shot. OTOH, 99 of 100 officials would swallow the whistle.
You're blind. There was no foul on the last shot - no way
not a big thing , you are talking about only 3 or 4 feet .After the double dribble he was fouled at the half court line. They let Virginia inbound it from the 3 point line.

Agreed about swallowing the whistle. The ball was out of his hands and the shot was on the way, in no terms did it effect the shot the minor contact was on the way down and should not have been called. There were at least 108 instances where fouls should have been called in the game and they swallowed the whistles, there was more contact on the Auburn player in the last second lay up yet that wasn't called. Also I saw that double dribble off the leg and was questioning why they didn't call that. It was a perfect storm of refereeing influencing the outcome but they were allowed to sneak it in to prevent the lay person from screaming corruption or to a lesser extent incompetence LOL
You do realize he was raising his hand to signal it was a three point shot right? Then when he called the foul, he made a different signal. The foul call was correct. if they want 1 seeds to get through then what happened to Duke ? surely with the NCAA love for Duke they would have made it right ? lolDon't turn a blind eye to the body snatching the whole game and call that sniff of body contact a foul on the last play of the game...and missing the double dribble right before just adds to the BS, get that #1 seed through. Auburn was fu**ed in a very public way.
They miss basic calls every game, Traveling more than others. The double dribble was a tough call in real time. It was a foul regardless what point of the game it was.He hit him in the act and he didn't give him room to land. I give the ref credit for calling it and I didn't give a crap who won the game.Nope..officials totally missed a basic call.
great postNah only one call. Game situation shouldn’t dictate whether or not something is a foul. If it’s a foul, it’s a foul, and Auburn’s player made contact with the guy mid-air. If that’s an Iowa player taking the shot and that doesn’t get called, I’m losing my absolute sh*t.
Doesn’t change the fact that that play should never have happened

sure , ok LOLHyperbole....catch it!!! The rest is just my take on sh** officiating, an epidemic like Spanish influenza.
He’s probably worried that if he calls out the NCAA, they might decide to take a closer look at his programPearl sure handled the interview well

If you look on Twitter. Right before the non double dribble call you can see a picture of the Auburn guy yanking on the Virginia’s players jersey. It’s blatant as hell.Note the referee's positioning on the missed double dribble call
