I was listening ysterday to Sirius Radio's College sports channel, and they were discussing the best traditions around college basketball.
One that was mentioned I never had heard of before. It is at Taylor University and their "Silent Night" tradition.
The home crowd remains completely quiet starting with the team introductions and all the initial points the team scores but when the 10th point is scored, they absolutely erupt.
I attached a YouTube video.
Interesting to note is that this tradition apparently was started when John Grosz was the head coach there. Supposedly there's now talk that Illinois wants to bring the tradition there now that Grosz is at Illinois.
I never did find out if this is just for one game a season or all home games.
