Not necessarily, being at Kinnick today, I havent seen ISU play. I think Iowa’s D is nails and will be psyched to win the in state rivalry after being talked down all week and ISU blow out win being talked up all week.

I think it will be a 1 score game either way and could see Iowa winning in a 10-6 type win.

Just thought it was interesting that ISU started a brand new QB and he throws 4 TDs in his debut and we get to watch our offense do whatever it is they are doing.

Spencer Petras is trash, but Iowa State played a horrible team today. I wouldn’t think too much of it. With that said, I’m sure I would trade for Petras for Dekkers in a heartbeat.

I don't think I would bet on ISU over Iowa until the streak is broken. I wouldn't try and compare opponents either but Petras couldn't make throws with the quick delivery, on target with touch Dekkers did with no defense. Deckers always had a arm but I didn't see this kind of touch and delivery. He used to look like a lb or fb but lost 25 to 30 lbs. It might have helped his mechanis/release. Iowa's defense is very good and is a big step up of course.

Honestly, Petras looked like an Iowa high school 2A quarterback today. He had about two or three good throws but was otherwise wildly erratic and inaccurate. There is no way a P5 quarterback should look that bad against an FCS opponent and keep his starting job.

They certainly did but SDSU did not look anywhere near as good as I thought. Their QB was terrible. They did have to go against our defense. Super proud of how our d and punt team played. An all time performance, honestly. No hyperbole.

All that said, Iowa's offense was the worst I've ever seen. We will hopefully have some more guys back (Johnson, Williams, Bostick??) but there is no magic bullet for horrible o line play, horrible OC and we all saw Petras.

I guess I'll weigh in. I didn't actually see the ISU game today so hard for me to say a lot, and the reason I didn't see it is I don't have ESPN +, yeah yeah I know LOL. Dekkers apparently was pretty effective, and yes SEMO is a weak team, but they did have defense out there. Honestly, not being a smart azz but I am not sure Petras could have completed 25 of 31 with no defense on the field. That being said, SDSU is a quality team and your defense was STOUT. And your punter is amazing, I am not sure but if the teams had traded punters SDSU may have won. The reports i heard were that ISUs defense didn't look great. I would not bet on the Clones to win in Iowa City. With your defense all Petras has to do is be adequate, today he was not. I would guess it will be a close game but I am preparing for the Clones seizing defeat from the jaws of victory, by oh say something like your own player running into your punt returner and causing a fumble. Good luck, we will have the answer next Saturday. Oh and Herkyfan if your out there ... its because Clownfans say so, must agree! LOL
