What could the kid have done that Hoiberg wouldn't have accepted from his players at ISU?

To give Hoiberg the benefit of the doubt, frequently finals are not during normally scheduled class times. They can be totally different days and times than regular class. Chances are this was a scheduled meeting, if the player did not want to hear good or bad news right before finals then he should have rescheduled.

I will admit that basically being fired from Nebraska is not really something a player would be expecting going into a normal meeting. So this still makes Hoiberg a d-bag.

According to Alum-ni or whoever, on the sports catchall board nebby moved the baseball series with NW back a day. The series started today quite possibly because it was finals week at Neb.

If Erstad can get that done for the baseball team, Freddie could have waited a cpl hours...

There is zero reason for a coach not to take the 30 seconds that would be required to have his admin assistant get him the info about a kid's test schedule and set up the meeting with the player after exams. ZERO.
