I've been home rehabbing a knee replacement since late October (probably going back to work next week), and I'm on HR most of the day off and on, and many of you seem to be on here all day as well. I'm just wondering if all of you are retired (seems unlikely as several act about 12 years old), self-employed, work odd hours, or are just not doing your job or schoolwork to hang out on here.
I don't want to get anyone fired, but come on, fess up...

I started a successful organic coffee roasterie in WDM a number of years back. I worked long hours six days a week but was my own boss. Then I sold the business to move west.

Since moving to Oregon for my wife’s new job I’ve been growing medical cannabis on our property. However, our acreage was zoned for 99 plants, then was changed to 48 before we bought it, and now it’s down to 12.

We’re in the process of selling the house and getting a divorce. I’ve been interviewing for roaster positions as of late. The days of setting my own schedule are coming to an end.

I own a marketing company and sit behind a desk for the majority of the day, so between the real work, I take a peak at what's going on here every so often. Sometimes it's great, sometimes... meh.

I do however wish I were growing medical marijuana, or at least working for el dub in the quality control dept., which is probably why I take a trip back to Colorado every year:cool:

el dub - the guy I most want to meet before the meet!

I work a boring office job that is extremely flexible hours wise. I’m also working on an online MBA so I am on my computer 12 hours a day minimum during the week. The good news is I have a lot of autonomy so I get to listen to podcasts in my office and get on here whenever I want. The bad news is it’s boring.

I live in my car at the Sunnyvale trailer park. I'm in and out of jail all the time with my buddies Julian and Bubbles.

I was once a security guard at the mall, and I was the trailer park supervisor for awhile, but I lost a wrestling match to Randy Bobandy and Jim Lehey, that drunk bastard.

Now I just grow great dope and make chicken fingers. The good kind. 8 bucks.

Ouch. Brutal.

2 years to retirement. Still in the field full time for a large Pharma company.
In order :
RailRoad bridge operator
RailRoad Conductor
Railroad Financial Analyst
Rock club owner in NYC
Commodities Broker
Stock broker
Real Estate developement/sales
Pharma

By far the best gig was being an Amtrak Railroad conductor between NYC and Washington DC. But I got restless and moved on.

Having a smart phone and Ipad I check into many different sites all day long to keep my sanity.

I'll miss Midlands due to them doulbing the price to have it in the Sears Centre.
I managed to get vacation for it for the first time in three years, and can't get anyone to split gas and motel fees, then they want $107 for tickets. My wrestling trip budget is limited, so if I do this for that price, I'd have to give up B1Gs or NCAAs, and that's not happening.

I decided on Midlands a few months ago betting to see a Lee/Suriano match up.

LOL I could use a quality control person about now. I hardly smoke since our marriage went off the rails.

Just pulled down the last indoor harvest I’ll do here. This run of Sonic Screw Driver has little visual bag appeal but is just plain fire. I’m averaging maybe two puffs in the evening and that’s it. (I used to go through a couple of oz’s a month. Lol)

Unfortunately smoking makes me sad since we started moving toward divorce. Go figure.

On the bright side, there are a few dispensaries waiting for my next batch of lemon sour d to clear testing and I should move a few units next week.

I’m guessing I’ll feel better when I’m once again gainfully employed in the eyes of the federal gubmit.

Thanks for the kind replies, btw.

Sorry to hear about the divorce, good news is, your HR family will be happy to argue with you whenever you need to vent. Just start the thread by blasting TNT's outfits and we'll do the rest!

Hang in there, things always get better, I speak from experience!

50hr/week salary commercial carpenter specializing in Historical renovations. My knees and back hurt a lot for a 32 year old but it seems worth it when i get home and reflect on the challenging things i created throughout my day. I have always been at my best when im on the move making things happen even if they are difficult. My driving force in life it seems. Also it keeps me strong and in shape as i age! Cubicles are definitely not for me...

I always make time to check the wrestling boards everyday to catch up with the sport we all love. I may vent a little and come off crass sometimes but i mean well i promise! Thanks for putting up with me!

I'm thinking one of the insiders here that want to "free the Lee" so badly will get their way, so I should get to see that match-up twice, including the one that really counts. My original thinking was the same as yours though.
