OT: Iowa State's record is 0-15 in conference and 2-18 on the season

It's March 1 and the CF guys dedicated almost an entire podcast to predicting point spreads for all of the ISU football games next season. They have ISU favored in 11 of the 12 games.
They literally led off the pod saying they werent going to be talking about basketball.
So, can someone quickly summarize WTF happened to Iowa State for me? Did they lose a bunch of players?

Player development has not been good plus no foundation. Mixed bag of guys lacks leadership and identity that good teams feed off.. They have some capable guys they just can’t put it together.
I believe I read on here that they reloaded.
I was hoping they would win a few more games to keep Prohm safe. With their history, I think that would be a pretty attractive job. I would hate to see DeVries end up there.
Iowa state has not been better then Iowa for a few years now.. record and head to head prove otherwise
This. Prohm needs to be mediocre enough to stick around.
DeVries going to ISU wouldn’t be good. That guy has some coaching chops it appears.
How quickly we forget the Lick years. That being said, pretty embarrassing for the clown coach to have less wins than Lick in season. Still has two games vs top 25 teams as well.
Prohm will be under max pressure next year to get things turned around. So, can he, will he get it done?
Poor recruiting overall combined with a few guys that left early for the draft and attrition has gutted the roster of any talent.

Lick won more than 2 games. Iowa St. is way better right now than they were earlier in the year but man... 0- conference season would be tough to swallow.

i honestly didnt think coaches would be getting axed because of the craziness that is covid and because athletic depts are strapped for cash; but it looks like Minny is gonna can their coach; IU & the Clowns might can theirs. And there will be more.
They said they didn't want to talk about it for an hour. They talked about it for a few minutes then just moved on because why.
Has to be hard for a couple of fan boys that think they are legitimate journalists to sit through this basketball season.

Funny. I mentioned this awhile back on the football board. I actually laughed out loud when Williams said on his radio show last summer that “as a journalist, I am going to do an objective, deep-dive into the racial situation at Iowa.” I had no respect for him anyway but that was unreal. Dude you literally run and profit (meagerly) from your website which is all things anti-Iowa. I would have actually gained a tad of respect for him if he just said “due to my hatred for all things Iowa, I can’t be fair to the situation” and left it that and let the real journalists cover it.
Let's see if he makes it to Ames if Prohm is canned.
Also, he is highly ranked but didn't get top flight offers. I dont think depending on a freshman whose best offers were from Creighton, Florida, Louisville and Texas Tech to turn this train wreck around will work out for them.

Basically, 3 of our top 8 (Bohannon, Connor and Patrick) are terrible and Fran still isn't a decent coach. Somehow, we are #5 in the nation in March despite all this but just wait until all this talent (that we apparently dont have) leaves the program.

He's a much higher ranked prospect than either of them. We just don't know. Ultimately it won't matter because I think the odds of him ending up in Ames are extremely low.
