OT: ISU putting it to TCU early

fan is stands “ we want bama”

Yeah, a little overzealous.

But not unique to Iowa State. The last time I went to Kinnick was two years ago. I took my dad to the Minnesota game. After the game, we were walking along Melrose and encountered a group of (I assume) UofI students chanting "We want Bama!"

I think this is actually pretty true. When you have a history of losing, it's contagious and becomes cultural. Once Iowa State won at Oklahoma, it's like the light bulb went on and they realized they could compete against the best teams in the country. The talent is there.
That is the scary thing - the talent isn’t there yet. He is primarily working with Rhodes recruits. Campbell will be bringing talent into Ames soon - and it appears he and his staff can coach. Somebody needs to hire him soon!

I've seen more deep balls thrown in this game by Iowa State then I've seen Iowa throw all year. Lol or at least it seems like it.

You're right that the talent will be getting better.

But I disagree that Paul Rhoads didn't have SOME talent on the team. Iowa State was in a lot of games throughout PR's tenure and was able to put some points on the board. Their problem was consistency, bad coaching, and no defense. And, again, the expectation of losing.

See all the empty seats in the end zone? Probably the biggest game they've played there and they can fill 'er up on a cold, but sunny day.

Kempt keeps chucking jump balls deep. Finally got one picked off ... or not. Under review.

Iowa State is starting their collapse a little earlier than I thought they would.

And that was a cheap move. ISU should be charged a timeout.

Iowa may have won the head to head, barely, but it's clear now that the 'clones are the better team.

Don't know much about TCU or the Big 12 in general, but for a supposed top 5 team they don't have much of a QB. Maybe he's all world against everyone else though.
