The Badgers look awful. Iowa's win against Marquette might be the bright spot in an otherwise blah out-of-conference slate.

This might be Bo's worst team. Maybe he saw the talent coming in and realized the program was going to take a dip so it's a good time to retire.

I really tried to feel sorry for Bo, but I just can't seem to wipe the grin off my face. Three losses in the Kohl Center during non-conference must be some sort of record for him.

The Illinois score may be hard to prove... there appeared to be no witnesses.

2 and 3 against them is pretty blah IMO. The Hawks start 4 seniors and junior. At this point I don't think they're learning anything from losing/not finishing games.

Throw in FSU and we're 3-3 against top 80 teams. Five of those teams are top 50, we are 2-3 there. That's NCAA invite worthy play and especially when we have not had a "bad" loss yet. It's easy to compare, just look up KenPom and you'll find we are ranked 14th in the nation. Sagarin has us 20th.

If you still think that is pretty blah would you mind naming off your top 25 so we can compare?

You stated the "slate" was blah. Not the performance. Additionally Dayton has now beaten #21 on the road and WS just beat #25 by 17. I will agree with you that winning one or two more of these could have/should have been accomplished. We will go into the BT at 9-3 and hopefully this team finds a way to finish games but their OOC schedule will not hurt them this year but they need to be in the 10+ conference win area. MSU with what I am expecting to be a weak crowd is a tough way to start.

Wisconsin can lie in the weeds until the B1G season starts. That's when they need to and will make hay. I'm just saying.

Yeah performance would have been a better term than slate. Probably counting the chickens before they're hatched, but their OOC record won't help them much either. IMO a 10 -8 conference record translates into a 6 or 7 seed.

Probably right on the seeding.

They just don't have options. Last nite their bench was 0-3 from the field and 0-1 from the line. They have a guy like ZS that is starting that really is a role player off the bench. That starting 5 is going to get worn out and it is already showing up in their FG percentage. Last two games 36% against teams I would not consider good defensive units.

The B1G appears more stratified now.

I thought earlier that msu, pu, and maryland were the class of the conference and they have separated themselves from the rest of the pack.

Iowa is in the mix within the next bunch. You could make an argument for them as high as 4th, but reasonably 5th or 6th at this time.

No way was wisky going to be like they were last year, but they've fallen off even further than I thought would happen. tosu has also been a big disappointment in the non-con.

northwestern has a good record on a weak schedule, I don't really know what to make of them.

And the rest, meh.

It's a mixed bag for Iowa as to their chances for making the NCAA tourney. On the one hand, they have a better chance to finish higher in the league. On the other, the relative weakness of the teams after the top 3 will probably mean fewer bids for the conference.

Wisconsin is 6-5. They are going to have to make a helluva run in the Big in order to make it back to the NCAAs.
