Our Friend Colin Cowherd Has Iowa...

I agree Michigan has a massive question at QB. But there aren't 4 guys fighting for a starting spot, there are 2. There are also no reps right now because fall practice hasn't started (though will soon). One candidate to start (John O'Korn) has 2 seasons under his belt at Houston (including AAC offensive frosh of the year) and another year of practice at Michigan. The other candidate (Wilton Speight) played some in relief of Rudock last year and is in his 3rd year in the program. It's not like 2 true freshmen battling for the job. Whoever comes out on top of the competition likely is at least decent and probably fairly good. Harbaugh is pretty good at coaching QBs. The chances of Michigan having poor QB play this season are fairly remote.
I guess time will tell. Rudock was a decent QB, but if he beat them both out in his first year in the program, that says a bit about the backup talent too. Maybe average QB play is good enough to get them to the B1G Championship game. If they, as you indicate, do have a QB who steps in and leads, executes and performs well this year, they will be very tough to beat.

O'Korn was a transfer last year and unable to play. According to every observer that watched practice, he was ahead of Rudock in the fall. Rudock came on strong by the end of the year, but O'Korn was better at the start. With a year of practice under his belt, you kind of expect him to be better than Rudock was last season.

I have a buddy who is on the Michigan premium site non stop and I get constant updates on Michigan football even though I have never asked for one. So that is the source of my knowledge.

Anyway, everything he told me contradicts this post. Their mods were saying that Ruddock was so far ahead of everyone it wasn't really close last year. And from what he said about this year is that if anyone is leading heading into fall camp it's Speigth was ahead of O'Korn because he was more steady and made fewer mistakes.

which is kinda odd when you have this CBS article ranking Wisconsin's schedule the most difficult in the country with LSU, @ MSU, @ UM, OSU, @ Iowa, Nebraska, @ Northwestern.

Apparently CBS hasn't seen USC's schedule just as one example.

@ #1 Alabama
@ #3 Stanford
@ #17 Utah
Home #19 Oregon
Home #11 Notre Dame

First of all, where the hell are those rankings coming from? Coaches poll has those teams ranked 1, 7, NR, 22, and 9
Second of all, how is that any tougher than Wisconsin?
N #6 LSU
@ #8 Michigan
@ #11 MSU
H #5 OSU
@ #15 Iowa

Um, the AP poll? Who the heck refers to the coaches poll when talking about rankings?
