I see 4 possibly 5 out of the nine. With only 3 departing defensive players, our defense should be pretty stout next year as well.

King, beathard, mabin, Johnson, kittle all will be drafted. Croston not sure where he ranks.. If Daniels has a solid senior year he will get drafted he is a big body, will be a combine warrior or pro day warrior.

King 1st round
Johnson and Beathard 3rd round
Mabin and Kittle 4-5 Round
Croston 6th round
I have 6 if the draft were right now. Kittle could move way up with good season or be undrafted with a poor one. Croston because he is Iowa OT and could rise as well, Mabin with have plenty of opportunites so stock could rise a ton or become undrafted if poor performance. King will be at worst late 2nd round even with poor season (if teams avoid him will not hurt his stock, only if he gives up deep balls all season will it fall) Beathard when healthy....who knows??? 1st round??? Johnson, boy he is can be dominant when he wants to be- consistantency his senior year and 2nd round maybe??? What if Daniels has 1200+ yards rushing? What if vandy catches 85+ balls and runs 4.4 forty at combine??? I think if one of these happens we have 7 drafted (unlikely both happen, but that would be a good sign). We have already heard the agility drills Daniels broke, so obviously has some skills, we have also heard that Vandy's speed is very underrated.
None the less if these Seniors play their best ball this year we could be scary a$$ good!

Mabin had a very strong finish to last season, there was a couple of games including Nebraska where I wonder if King and him had switched jerseys. He is a bit bigger than King and to a fault the NFL seems to always take more chance on talent than on proven skill. If he picks up where he left off then I could see him moving up the draft board to the higher rounds.

I would agree with this. With Daniels injury history, only way he gets drafted is by putting up 1,400 yards or something like that. The NFL has been de-valuing the RB position, and getting drafted as a RB means you have to be very good. I'm not sold on Mabin getting drafted either, but hope that the is/does. He will likely test well (good size and speed) I just haven't seen the cover skills as of yet.

Beathard - 2nd-3rd (Will be near the top of the 2nd group of QBs)
Daniels 7th-UFA
Vandeberg 7th-UFA
McCarron
Kittle - 2nd-3rd (I think he is going to have a big year)
Croston - 6th-7th (Should get drafted based on playing LT at Iowa)
J. Johnson - 3rd-4th
Mabin - 3rd-5th (NFL teams will like his size/athleticism)
King - 2nd (NFL teams won't like his combine #s)

I think 6 Hawkeyes have their name called. Big day 2 of the draft for Iowa.

King is the only Hawk I see going in the latter part of the first round. Five of the next nine will likely be third to sixth rounders and the rest will be signed as free agents. Being signed as an FA isn't all that bad in my view.

Even if he's not the first QB drafted, Beathard will go in the first round. (Although it's true that CJ is no Johnny Manziel LOL). King will be a first or second rounder. The others will do themselves and their school proud as draft choices or free agent signings.

Desmond King, Jaleel Johnson, and CJ Beathard are safe bets to get drafted.
Daniels, Kittle, and Mabin may get drafted late if they breakout senior years, they still have a lot to prove (for pro scouts)
I doubt the other 3 get drafted even with breakout years but I could certainly see Vandeberg and Croston getting picked up in free agency and go from there. McCarron hopefully proves me wrong, but right now does not look NFL bound

King - 1st round
Beathard - 3rd round
Johnson - 3rd round
Kittle - 4th round
Mabin - 4th round with 3+ suplexes, 5th round with less than 3 suplexes
Croston - 6th round

So I guess I'd agree with funnyfletcher above, aside from Kittle and Jaleel.

While LeShun Daniels may be good enough to play in the NFL, I think he's likely a UFA because he'll be sharing reps with Wadley and Mitchell the entire year. Vandeberg probably has a shot at slot receiver (UFA).

As of now McCarron isn't even a top 2 receiver on the team (Vandeberg, J. Smith) and has a chance to fall even further if young guys like Scheel, Falconer, Boyle(?) step up, so while he hopefully proves me wrong, I don't know if he'll really even get much of a look.

I will bet anyone that King doesn't go first round. I think Crofton gets drafted though for 5 out of the 9 seniors.
+1 the guy is an amazing college DB with great ball skills but has a tendency to get beat deep. That's only going to get worse in the NFL and NFL quarterbacks actually look off receivers so his ability to jump routes may not be quite as big of an advantage. I still think his ball skills and tackling make him an asset but I don't think he has 1st round, can't miss measurables.

I see four drafted and five more as Free Agents as of today...there is a even chance that Daniels, Kittle & Croston could play themselves into the draft during the upcoming season.

I sometimes wonder if you and I are the only ones who truly appreciate our QB's talent. He gets time from his OL and he will be in NYC late this year. That kid from Stanford...... should take the trophy but CJ will get votes.
