Outrage after Baltimore reveals zero students proficient in math across 23 schools: ‘FAILURE'

No, they are poor students, with poor attendance, and poor teachers.
We know many of these kids have terrible home lives. School can't fix that. But, they can be an oasis where these kids can get out of those environments and be taught the skills they need to escape that life.
But, it's a lot harder when teachers just want to shirk their responsibility and blame the parents for poor classroom performance.
Nobody in that article is even touching on the parents or pointing to any other fault than the teachers. That is wrong and a complete political stance to not offend someone. Where are the black leaders that try to improve the education of black children? There is no money in that so you don’t see it. Everyone just points to the failure of the schools.

They are pointing to the failure of schools, because the data shows that some schools aren't teaching kids the things they are supposed to know. Like math.

Yeah yeah.
Fight about politics. Bozos.
It’s a tragedy for the kids. You know, the students.

You guys are really overthinking this. These kids are only showing up for school at lunch because it's the only meal they'll eat that day. The classroom is secondary, and it's not limited to Baltimore. It's just an easy target for the right because it's predominantly black and democrat.
They get dropped off at 7 AM for free breakfast then they get a free lunch and stay after school for the snack (aka dinner) and picked up at 5:59 PM. They go to an apartment and sit in front of a TV all night with no parental involvement or interaction.
There needs to be some heavy truth dropped in this country about either be a PARENT for real or don’t have children.

You should leave your HOA once in a while and visit the real world

If you took those kids and enrolled them at Regina, I guarantee you that their scores would be better.

That's a strawman. If you dropped those same teachers from an Iowa private school into classrooms in west Baltimore, they would have the same or worse results with those kids.

You say my statement is a strawman, and then you're doing the exact same thing. Your imaginary example is right, but mine isn't? To a degree we're both right.
But, one thing is certainly true. The current teachers, and school system in Baltimore, is apparently quite poor.
And, the test results prove it.

You're going in circles and disproving your point. Is it the location, or is it the teachers? If it's the teachers, your Regina teachers would have no problem educating these kids in Baltimore (Chicago, Philadelphia, etc.). If it's the school system, these kids wouldn't have to go to Iowa to fix that. They could go out to Baltimore County and fail with the kids out there too.

So what's left that could be causing this if it's not the teachers or the school system?

It's the school system/environment.
