I unfortunately think that a whole lot of bad things have to happen to Okie St and PSU for them the falter. Okie St has pretty strong AA candidates at 9/10 weights and PSU has some surefire bonus point machines. I think Iowa needs to have all hands (or bulls) on deck to have a chance and then needs some guys to impress the hell out of us (Turk, Wilcke, Holloway etc). I think when its all said and done, it'll be close but we finish 2-3.

I picked Topher as the guy a week or two ago. I don't care who gets the spot just go out and kick ass. Both guys are capable of doing well. It will be solved by how they do against outside competition through Midlands. I think Topher will win the match up Sat. I also don't think the Bull wrestles this year.

I agree with this. But I think it'll will end up being a Tony Ramos>Tyler Clark type situation.

I also agree that Manetti will keep the shirt on this year.

I don't see OSU AA'ing at 125 or heavy. In the end, I see them at 6 or 7 with one finalist. I think they take 3rd with Iowa and PSU battling for 1st. To me it's less about the number of guys on the podium and more about how high they stand on the podium. That will serve our teams well in March.

If 141 is a dog fight between the two guys listed above, it doesn't bode well for the weight, imo. If they are wrestling close, that would mean they're either both of AA caliber or not. And unfortunately I don't see this as a strong weight for us.

Hope I'm wrong.

You could very well be correct. Topher is going to have to come out and put points up on the board against other teams. Saturdays match up is nice for us fans but it will have little bearing on who represents us in January IMO.

IMO, we HAVE to have Marinelli in the lineup if we want a chance at 1st this year. Hole at 41, hole at 197, and who knows what will happen at 74 and 84 (and 285).

I don't agree with this. We have 7 studs that need to take care of business. Any points from the other 3 weights would be icing on the cake. I am in the minority but 165 is loaded and some really good wrestlers are only going to score a handful of team points. I am glad it isn't my decision.
