I don't think all of the side effects and complications of this medication are yet fully known given its now being used in patients without diabetes that would otherwise cause problems these medicines themselves could. Such as gastroparesis.

That having been said, we do know plenty about the risks of obesity and drug abuse.

I simply hope that proper care regarding patient selection is taken. A big reason these places selling online semaglutide etc are a bad idea.

Though assuredly, this is good news if benefits continue to exceed risks. Lets hope for more solid data going forward.

Interesting. It seems like this is the new wonder drug, but you have to wonder about what side effects/unintended consequences may show up later.
Is this a whole new class of drugs?
