2 of Lukas fouls were bs then they screw us out of 2 at the end. But even so 6 missed layups didn’t help.

The missed travel right b4 half is the 1 that really pisses me off. So blatant anybody with eyes couldn’t miss it
I would just stop watching basketball. Officiating gets worse every year.
Even so they screwed us twice by the reversal of the goaltend if they call it right in the first place then weiscamp gets the follow.
If I had a nickel for every wide open 3 Iowa gave up from the corner I wouldn't have to go to work Monday.
He’s right. There were some baaad calls/no calls tonight at some very crucial times. To say the refs didn’t impact the game is just ignorant
I like the officiating before conference play.
Guy literally high stepped twice. That and taking points off the board on the “goaltend” were the two calls that stood out to me as awful, though they weren’t the difference

Crying about the refs is what clown fans do. This game could have gone either way. Illinois has a lot of talent.

It wasn’t fine. Both teams benefited from the official’s ineptitude but Illinois not being called for a foul in two weeks is embarrassing.

This is so bad! Pretty sure nba refs would even call this a travel.
I should try and become a ref and if I ever got an interview I could just whip out this video and say, I know that this is a travel. I’d be light years ahead of big officiating
Maybe they stood out as awful because you don't know the first thing about basketball? It CLEARLY was a clean block and not a goaltend. Illinois was more athletic at every position on the floor but had more fouls called on them excluding the intentionals at the end.
It's always hilarious coming on here after losses and seeing fans blame the refs because Fran puts the least athletic team in the B1G on floor year after year after year!
Iowa was in the bonus with 10:04 left in the game. No FTs since 10:04. Illinois wasn’t called for a foul in 10 minutes of game time. Absurd.
Sorry guys but if you look at the still in the start of Howe's tweet, Luka already has a grip on Kofi's off arm. At the entry pass he pushes him in the back a little, then move his knee into him. Calls depend on the angles the ref has, I think he had the better angle here. JMHO...
We judge the players performances at the end of the game. Why not judge the refs? They f’n sucked.
Compared to the contact luka plays through every possession, that is weak as hell!!!
Well if they call the travel at the end of the half and don’t call goaltending that’s a 5 point swing right there.
And that’s not even touching any of the BS touch fouls called on Iowa while Illinois was allowed to get away with murder.
I won’t say the refs straight up cost us the game, but in a world with perfect officiating, Iowa likely wins that game.
How was it clear? Was the ball still on an upwards trajectory? No. It wasn’t indisputable to overturn. Did I blame the refs for anything else? No. F off dbag
That is true. I think they may have swayed the outcome, but you have to overcome bad calls.
Maybe because half the people in this thread are so ignorant they think a clean block that was clearly correctly called is evidence of paid off refs?
