An easy way to simplify the game is to think of it as a game of keeping the ball out of the paint on defense, and getting the ball in the paint on offense. This year, we are awful at keeping the ball out of the paint, and not very good at getting the ball in the paint. I love our freshmen, but we are in for a long year. I think our issues are a combination of physical capabilities(perimiter athletes), coaching(or lack of on checking out and positioning), and obviously youth(inexperience).
