Penn State-Ohio State

TOSU is going to have to win the first 3 weights and get a major from Bo and a pin from Snyder to have any chance.

PSU will get pins at 149 and 157 and majors at 174 and 197.

So whoever wins 184 wins the dual imo.

Or PSU wins in a blow out if they win any of the 1st 3 matches.

NC means no chance for tOSU. The PSU guys just keep coming at you, there's no offense on the other side, too busy trying defending.

Some good matchups here. I wonder what weight they start the dual at. Here's my thoughts.
125- Have Mega and NaTo ever wrestled? I would favor NaTo for sure but Mega has a pretty unique style that is tough to deal with. Wouldn't be completely blow away if Mega managed a close upset. I would imagine lose gets Gilman in the semis at B10s. tOSU- 3 PSU- 0
133- JDJ is very inconsistent to say the least. Conaway is a tough SOB that seems to keep on coming (dare I say rather Hawkeye-like). At the start of the season most would have predicted JDJ, however I would certainly give Conaway the nod in a close one which could be a late takedown sealing the deal for Conaway. tOSU- 3 PSU- 3
141- No info as whether PSU throws out Gulibon or Moss here, either of them will have their hands full with Micah Jordan. He's the real deal and I think he scores the win here against whoever PSU throws out there. Either way will be a close one. tOSU- 6 PSU- 3
149- It'll be interesting to see if Ryan throws Hunter out there vs. Zain. Hunter is obviously not 100% yet, and a blood bath surely awaits him. tOSU will be lucky to get by with just a tech fall. I'm predicting 6 for Zain here. PSU- 9 tOSU- 6
157- Jason Nolf is on another planet right now after pinning defending champ IMar. Jake Ryan has been solid, but anything other than 6 and Jake's pops should be breathing a sigh of relief. PSU- 15 tOSU-6
165- Bo Jordan has to get tOSU back on the board with a fall here against Shakur Rasheed. Rasheed has been pretty solid thus far, but Jordan will be too much for him. Tech fall at least for Bo. PSU- 15 tOSU- 11
174- Bo Nickal and Myles Martin should be a pretty entertaining match and we'll see where Martin is at. If Martin wrestles with the mentality that he can win here, he can keep it close, if he wrestles, trying to keep it close, the match could get away from him. I think he keep it to a 5-6 point decision. PSU- 18 tOSU- 11
184- Lots of questions here. McCutch is still suffering from injury. Courts is a returning AA, but is very beatable. If McCutch is out, PSU likely goes with Wes Phipps who is a decent back-up. Either way I'm going with Courts by dec. PSU- 18 tOSU- 14
197- Morgan Mac is a beast and I see him getting it done against Mark Martin. When I heard that Martin was going up 2 weight classes, I questioned it. When I heard he looked good I was skeptical, he's comes back down to earth and Mac is as strong as any 197lber. I'm looking bonus for Mor Mac.
PSU- 22 tOSU- 14
Hwt- Let's see what's going to happen here? tOSU has reigning World Champ Kyle Snyder and PSU has a guy who was playing football a couple months ago. Final PSU- 22 tOSU- 20

Should be a good one, hope they beat each other up so bad that they are both still hurting come B10's. ;)

125 I'll take Nate in a match that we probably see 1 takedown in 3-0 tOSU
133 I think JDJ gets it done in a close one he's been known to get the wins in the first go round as I'm sure you guys can attest to ;) 6-0 tOSU
141 I'd think it'll be Guilibon but either way I'll take Mick to get the win here I want to say major and part of that is me being bias the other is me kind of believing it's possible 9-0 tOSU
149 I'll be completely surprised if Tom throws Hunter out there hoping its Burcher as I haven't seen him in a while but either way it's a pin 9-6 tOSU
157 Hopefully it's Jake since we've been sending out Kresevic and he just hasn't been getting it done. Jake can make it hard for guys to score on him and he's been very tough all season but the way Nolf looks combined with the way Jake conceded to Martinez I'll give Nolf the tech. Jake could get praised if it's at least a major 11-9 PSU
165 Wrestler from my favorite team vs my fellow New Yorker/Long Islander. Corey has faded late in matches specifically with the guys who push the pace and keep the pressure on which is how Bo Jordan wrestles. I think Corey keeps it interesting for a period and a half before he starts to looked phytigued, at this point I think the points start to come on for Jordan he will no doubt be the best wrestler Corey has faced all season. Bo by Maj tOSU 13-11
174 Myles lost a one point match to Nickal in their first meeting at the nittany lion open. Since then Nickal has wrestled very well for the most part and Myles has looked very good as well. Unfortunately I see some inconsistency from Martin. I believe he has the potential to beat Nickal and can do it in the future but seeing as this is at Penn State I'll take Nickal by dec PSU 14-13
184 We never know which Kenny courts we're goin to get when he steps on the mat. I'm hoping its the one we saw at nationals last year. History shows us Kenny is undefeated against Matt McCutcheon who is coming off an injury but is said to be going tomorrow my homerism/optimism says Courts by dec 16-14 tOSU
197 either way I expect Mcintosh to win here for PSU if it's against Martin I think he could leave it at either a major or regular decision. If it's anyone else tech or pin but let's say it's Martin 18-16 PSU
285 I have a very small feeling we could see Nevills come out for PSU. Regardless of who it is I'm taking Snyder for the win but not by pin however. He's never had a pin in his college career and I don't think it starts tomorrow. Nevills is good enough to maybe keep it to a decision and Johnson looks like a fighter but this would be what the match comes down to
Snyder by Major tOSU wins 20-18

Honestly my fan bias aside I think this match comes down to where they start the dual at and if it's at 125 who wins that match. Penn State already has the momentum being it's at home but if Nate beats Mega I think it can kind of shift in out favor, if it's the other way around Buckeyes lose 133 as well. Here's to hoping for some spectacular wrestling out of the buckeyes

I hope they beat the living pi$$ out of each other. No one gets injuried but definitely roughed up;). Should be a great dual.

25-I'll take nico. He's about as stingy as it gets. 3-0 psu
33-Conway dec. jdj is a one trick pony that's why he can't seem to get over the hump. 6-0 psu.
41-Jordan dec. 6-3
49-no way he puts hunter out there. Fall psu. 12-3
57-I think we see Ryan. Major psu. 16-3 psu
65-bojo major. Too solid to get cradled up. 16-7 psu
74-yep I'll take Martin. He's a big time wrestler and he'll be ready to roll. 16-10 psu
84-doubt we see mccutchen. I'll take courts dec either way. 16-13 psu
97-Mac major. 20-13 psu
Hwt-Snyder is slated to wrestle this dual. I highly doubt Nevills first match back will be against a guy that pounds on his head for 7 minutes. Tech Snyder 20-18 psu.

Copied from BWI
I'll give it a shot:
125- my heart says Nico, my head remembers the Dance match. tOSU 3-0
133- Conaway has looked consistent against 2nd/3rd tier guys. 3-3
141- I think Jimmy keeps it close but gets edged at the end, maybe by riding time. tOSU 6-3
149- ZPain is on another planet right now. His opponents aren't trying not to get pinned, they're trying not to get killed. If I could give him 7 I would. PSU 9-6
157- Nolf Vader finds the force weak in this Buckeye. PSU 15-6
165- While Rasheed has a puncher's chance, or more accurately, a cradler's chance, their Bo knows bonus points, too. PSU 15-10
174- Along with 125, the marquee match up. A rematch from the NLO, a chippy (I did not witness, only read about) 4-3 squeaker. Myles has had this date circled since his shirt was pulled. I don't like predicting ugliness, so I'll just say a lot of scoring (at least 20 combined). A fall either way honestly would not shock me. That said, Bo by decision. PSU 18-10.
184- The "I Can't Believe I Keep Losing To This Guy" Award has gathered it's last speck of dust on Mouse's mantle. MM refuses to be bored into a daze a 3rd straight match v Courts. PSU 21-10.
197- Remember when people thought Mac was undersized? Yeah, he's making me forget, too. Major. PSU 25-10
285- Run Jan, run! No really Jan, run. Snyder tech fall. PSU 25-15.

It seems that Nico beat Nato the last time they wrestled. Am I dreaming again or was it when Nato was a freshman? What year is Nato now?

Ryan rests 3-4 starters for "undisclosed" injuries... Book it.

If he "rests" Nato, then he's a fag*

*Disclaimer-The word fag is not used as a homophobic slur in this instance but the author merely feels that this is the best use of the word to describe the situation. It is not meant to cast dispersions on Tom Ryan's sexuality, NATO, students or staff of Ohio State, the LGBT community, or Obama. The author loves the gays and even danced to YMCA one time.

Does Tom Ryan even own a Harley Davidson?

The possibility of sitting starters is why I am a big proponent of making duals matter for the post season. I can't even count how many times I was excited to watch a dual, only to have one of the wrestler's in marquee match ups not end up wrestling. Regardless of how successful the NCAA Tournament is, duals are for the fans. Fans go to see match ups as much as they go(sometimes even more) to see their team win. I am sure nothing will change, but one can dream....................

Predicting any Ohio State dual lineup is Fool's Gold for sure. And on the road against a tough oppenent, fugetaboutit.........................Find a dart board. Throw darts.
A lot can happen on a long bus ride ...

Ive been debating this with friends all week. We have come to the conclusion its all about Snyder. he wrestles then tOSU is all in, if not then he may sit a few. My guess on if he does sit guys. It will be Hunter, Ryan, Courts, Snyder. If he sits NATO then NATO should be seeded 3rd at BIGS. The committe has to make a example of this. Gilman would never sit. he dont give a F!

Im pretty pumped for this meet, esp 125 so Ryan better not take it away. Its been a long work week with this meet and some cold beers being the light at the end of the tunnel

125. Nico by Dec. 3-0 PSU
133. Conaway Dec 6-0
141. Micah Jordan by dec 6-3
149. Zain pins who ever. 12-3
157. Nolf tech in early 2nd. 17-3
165. Bo Jordan dec by 4 once Rasheed hits a wall 17-6
174. Nickal dec by 5, 20-6
184. McCutch finally get Courts in a close boring one, 23-6
197. McIntosh by major 27-6
HWT Snyder pin. 27-12

This is one of those meets that doesnt live up to the hype.

Also wouldnt be shocked if tOSU losses both 125/133 and pulls starters knowing they cant win and packs it in.

Have to go with James on this...Of course it would be the Chief haha. Drinking too much causes dyslexia...always turned the C the wrong way.

I went to HS at South Tama. Near the Mesquaki Settlement. Can't believe I blanked on the Chief. I guess that abduction actually did mess with my mind.o_O

I have the same but Snyder isn't much of a pinner so I had a TF

This dual does matter. If PSU loses this dual, then they will be knocked off of the #1 B10 team for the new NWCA dual team event. That would make Iowa the #1 B10 team and have a shot at the dual championship. TOSU might not care too much though.

I'm with you. Duals should matter more. I think change is coming.

I hate to say anything nice about Carl and the boys, but they're going to be ready to slaughter tOSU. My gut tells me Ryan and the Buckeyes aren't tough enough and they will fold.

Slaughter is a nice touch Pablow, but please remember that lion fans prefer "Destroy". Along with terms like breaking off arms and snapping legs. That said, I could give Ryan a pass if he rests Hunter.

Maybe "dismember" or "draw and quarter" would have been better word choices. My sincere apologies to PSU fans.

I'd rest Hunter too.
