Gabriel would slaughter our defense. He's so quick we'd never get a glove on him and he'd pick the secondary apart like vultures picking the carcass of a dead water buffalo.

Yeh...but shaggy would pick apart Oregons defense so it would be a wash 😃Gabriel would slaughter our defense. He's so quick we'd never get a glove on him and he'd pick the secondary apart like vultures picking the carcass of a dead water buffalo.
CFP just licking their chops to leave out an 11-2 ACC team for a 9-3 SEC team.SMU might be down 28-7 by the end of the first quarter. 21-7 now, but Clemson is driving.
I like seeing franklin and psu getting their butts kicked. Don't care that the ducks are new to the conference. After nebby, psu is the team I like to see lose.
What do they do with the playoffs, if Clemson blows the doors off SMU?

Anybody not named Iowa can choke on a fat one.I like seeing franklin and psu getting their butts kicked. Don't care that the ducks are new to the conference. After nebby, psu is the team I like to see lose.
“We just feel Alabama is a better overall team than SMU”CFP just licking their chops to leave out an 11-2 ACC team for a 9-3 SEC team.
They did it to an undefeated ACC team, they'll do it to an 11-2 one.“We just feel Alabama is a better overall team than SMU”
Jenny Day or Jenny Dell? bc there is a difference.Jenny Day wins the evening.

KF, while watching that ....Oregon saving their timeouts for the 2nd half
The thing is not long ago NOT having a CCG used to hurt the top teams because they would get jumped by conference champs.Wonder if some of these conferences will realize that having a conference championship game hurts their playoff chances more often than it helps.
If the ACC named the champion based on regular season. It's SMU and they are in the playoffs.
Now.... Probably no ACC team
While what you say is true, getting a home game in the playoffs tacks one more on the total you gotta win to win it all. After seeing the wear and tear of these CCG games, particularly between two teams who are getting in the field anyhow. I wonder if Ohio State, Notre Dame, Alabama or Indiana really feel bad about missing playing in one.
Yeah the winner gets a bye. But they are playing an extra game to get a neutral site second round game. Meanwhile they are playing another neutral site game against a really good team. Penn State will be worse for wear, same for Texas. Meanwhile Ohio State gets to sit at home and get another home game because they lost to a mediocre Michigan squad.
Because it’s a big game and they’re still in it. Jim has to start effing things up at some point.Way to go for 2 for no reason Franklin. What an idiot
Good point. Four elimination games. My point is based off physical toll. Is an elimination game at home vs an SMU harder than a CCG against a Texas or Penn State? Rust will also be a factor imo. While what you say is true, getting a home game in the playoffs tacks one more on the total you gotta win to win it all.
IE, The Top 4 only need to win 3 games to be national champs & the other 8 have to win 4 games.
