No shit. But a training exercise can go over safer areas. Quit being obtuse.
From reporting, it sounds like the senior pilot allowed the pilot being trained to achieve altitude well above the corridor for the choppers, and should have taken action immediately to correct that situation, but for some reason didn't do that.

You can thank your president for that. This thread turned to shit.
I don’t want to make it political. This a journalism 101. In a press room, people have a job to dive deeper. They also have a job to be respectful (imo) when it is a simple statement and maybe an effort to uplift families and a society are most important. This guy gave that trust away and the press room sounded like something from movies that predate me. I know he doesn’t give a shit about their (press) trust, but I do hope a large population of our right leaning country just went ‘wait, oh, maybe this is what they were talking about’.Trump rails against DEI after deadly D.C. plane crash
Following the deadly midair collision between an American Airlines jet and a military helicopter, President Donald Trump put the blame on Federal Aviation Administration's diversity, equity and inclusion programs.www.msnbc.com
He said he signed an EO to bring back the standards, standards that had been lowered during the Biden administration.
if you really want to make it political, listen to what he said, is msnbc link.
Then they said "what makes you think this is a dei hire" and he said "it may have been"
And then the piss started FLOWIN'
“Well known” by whom?He gets a briefing. But it’s well known he rarely reads them or it’s often difficult to get him to pay attention.
If I’m not mistaken…hasn’t the DEI talk been related mostly to those working as flight controllers…not the pilots?
Yes, I get that. I was just philosophizing and posted. I am not asking how or why people make a big deal of a plane crash. I just find that I think differently than most. Wondering if anyone else held my views. I don't know if it is how my brain works or may be its my profession in the medical field. You sort of realize people get crappy diagnoses, die at a young age, have totally unfair stuff happen to them. That would be 120 news stories. Not going to happen.
