So what's the story with his injury? All i heard was lower body. Did it happen in the previous game or in practice? Any ideas how long it might keep him out?

Thanks. Probably pretty stiff but not something that should keep him out of the lineup for too long. He'll be needed with a stretch of real opponents coming up.
Probably depends on how much pain it gives him and if it effects his play.

Yeah. If it is just a bruise it's typically not something that gets worse with activity. I'm kinda hoping that he was held out yesterday because he wasn't going to be needed and that he'll be able to go this weekend. If not he's a huge loss given the upcoming competition.

He wasn't grimacing or moving awkwardly. But he wasn't doing anything requiring stress on the leg. Hopefully it's like the NBA. Had the luxury of an off day.

Thera-gun it.

I was gonna suggest rubbing some 'Tussin on it.

Or whale blubber

Who knows what this is, but hope it is not serious. Plantar fascitis? Bone spurs? Calf? Iowa needs a healthy Perkins.

Yep. We can't afford injuries at all.

As a team, we're only 9 deep as it is when healthy. And just think if Josh Dix were not available (he played 17 minutes last night).

Didn't we have a stretch a couple seasons back where CJ was advertised as having a mysterious "lower leg injury" that was never fully explained?... Sounds familiar.

Fran said Iowa was getting a portal big transfer in the offseason. He also said Tony will play this Friday. I'm sure everything is fine.

Wouldn’t be the worst idea to hold him out against Clemson. I think that Iowa can definitely win without him and he’d get an extra day’s rest before TCU. If they lose, then they can CERTAINLY beat Cal without him and he can be as healthy as possible going into that Duke matchup, where we would certainly need him

'happened over time' doesn't bode well for getting healthy while continuing to play, if playing was the cause of the issue. what was cj's thing... a stress reaction? hope we aren't looking at something similar.
