Play Ogundele More

he has zero clue what to do with the ball when he needs to make a post move.
I guess we disagree. He’s no Garza but you’ve got to give credit to who he was playing against too. Davis is a stud.

and the officials allowed Indiana to mug Josh both times he got the ball.

McC is finally coming back to the reality of the Big Ten, you've gotta have the big boys inside. Both Josh and Riley should get a few minutes each. One or both will be very important before their career is over.

Please and thank you. This team badly needs a big guy to fill the lane and get some rebounds. I view josh as the guy I usually can’t stand on other teams, just a big guy that uses his size to move people around and annoys opposing teams. However fran doesn’t play him. I just don’t get it.
You don't get it? Do you watch the games? There is nothing Josh does now, except be big, that screams more minutes.

Playing Josh means you're not going to get much on the offensive end. I don't mind that so much at his position, with this team and what their needs are.

He was a big body against tjd who actually slowed him down a bit when he was having his way against the other matchups that Fran threw at him. The only stat that was disappointing from Josh is the goose egg for rebounds.

Is Josh a 20+ minute per game player? Nope. Could he give 10-12 minutes against an opposing big who is just too much for the smaller guys on the roster to handle? I think so.

Rebraca is not a 5, not even close. I didn't expect much from him and I'd say he's more or less matched those expectations. More small ball lineups without even the pretense of a 5 might work at times, but defensively they will run into opposing matchups that will make them look even worse than they already do. I'd still like to see Josh and Riley get some court time when that happens.

I don't really care if he scores. It's more important to me that he be a physical presence around the basket. We are soft defensively inside without him in there where Rebraca just gets pushed around and towered over. Obviously neither Rebraca nor Josh is killing it but honestly you can flip a coin as to which player is more effective right now. Their metrics are identical.

Josh has a long, long, long, long, long, long, long, long way to go to be a solid contributor.

Josh for someone that appears way overweight, runs the court extremely well, but his offensive skill set is sorely lacking. He needs to drop about 40 more pounds, I'm guessing he's at or near 300 pounds, and develop some offensive skills before he becomes the player that everyone on here calls him "BIG O".
Why Fran recruited a player completely opposite of Garza is completely baffling to me, He is as much of project as you want to see at this level of college basketball and I'm not sure if he will even see extended minutes as a senior.

Josh seems like his skills are way ahead of his understanding of the game of basketball. Being able to do things during a workout by yourself is not the same as doing them with legitimate P5 players guarding you.

I still think he'll be useful his last year or two, but probably won't be a starter.

Did anyone notice that the Hawks were plus 20 with Rebraca in the Indiana game, despite his foul trouble? With Josh in the game, they were minus 11. No disrespect to Josh, he might be great in the future. But for now, he is getting the minutes he has earned.

Iv seen enough. Though I think he is a good teammate.
You’ve seen enough of a kid who is seeing the floor for a few minutes a game? Yes, he’s certainly a project and he better get his ass in way better shape. But let’s give him a little more time than that brother.

I agree another year may get him in better shape but at this point he just can't help this team win games. More practice and 30 less pounds would maybe help but we are too far along this year for that to happen

Times were pretty desperate the other night. Rebraca 2 fouls right away, Keegan out the majority of the 1st half as well. I think he’s a 10th man type of scenario but he filled a role of a warm body the other night. And yes, hes got a long way to go.

Agree - I hope he gets better. I would think that if he were to get more than 5 min a game we are having serious problems. He does have some skills that may show by his last year.

There is a reason some players come off the bench. Starting is an ego thing for some. Anyone old enough to remember John Havlicek with the Celtics. He may have been their best player but he was used as their 6th man. Good for match-up problems and to give another scoring option at different points in the game. Let's not get worked up about who starts - but who plays the most minutes and who finishes the game. That is what matters.

Notice I still have JBo starting but his minutes needs to be reduced. Certainly in at the end of the game with the lead.

So I’m not even sure about that, though we know he will be. I’m ok with him being in if we have a lead and we want his free throw ability. I want him out on the other end. Clearly the worst defender on the team and it’s not close. But we know him and Connor are both going to be out there.
