I think this bothers me the most about our coaches and players.
Going to give some examples:
Cook- has not improved much from his freshman year/ his passing his worse/ shooting is just as bad.
Bohannan- Still slow/ can make a few 3's every 5th game/ can't get open
Baer- Love him more than anyone, but has not improved much in the last 3 years
Moss- Slowest ball handler I have ever seen.

Coaching-
The only thing that has changed is we have put another zone in which will work every once in a while but. I am just curious if they ever work on rebounding or passing drills.

I would love to sit through the end of the season evaluations for Fran and his coaches.

Marble and White are the only two I can think of under FM. And, I think a lot of their improvement was self-motivated. The players on this team seem to be quite comfortable with their existing skills and do not mind getting their ***** handed to them on a regular basis. The coaches also do not seem to get it, ever! IMO

Look at the postgame last night. Does anyone get pissed off? It’s like ho hum, shots will fall, it’ll get better,etc.......No it won’t get better if you keep playing this way.

Pemsl hasn't missed as many FTs this season.

Nunge hasn't had any defenders blow by him when guarding the 3.

Baer is a player that covers for his limitations with effort. He is probably the player i see the least amount of complaints about on these boards. He may have a bad game here or there, but you never question his ambition!!

Baer, Bohannon, Moss, Kreiner, Daley are exactly the same athletes they were when they first stepped foot on campus. Jury is still on out Garza as he had a medical issue, but he is headed for this group as well. It's no coincidence that White, Jok, Marble all physically transformed their physique during their time here and just so happen to be the best players Fran has coached. Gessell and Clemmons, for all their offensive limitations, had Big 10 bodies and were able to consistently compete. Does the basketball team test speed and agility (20 yard dash, shuttle, vertical, etc.) to monitor improvement in these areas?

Another big issue is shooting. No one leaves a better shooter then when they first stepped foot on campus, with the exception of Jok and Marble (and maybe Bohannon).

Fran has to figure out the strength and conditioning part of his program, and he absolutely needs to bring in a "defensive coordinator" or else this is the peak - bubble teams at its best.

I can think of many Iowa players that have improved under McCaffery. Unfortunately, so many of our players enter the program at such a low level of talent that even when they improve, it isn't to the B1G level.

Nunge/Patrick at the 3 spot is a laughable joke. No way either of those two should see any time at the 3 spot. I can’t believe People actually think 6-8 and 175lbs is gonna be good on the wing.

Aaron White developed pretty well.

Other than that, I got nothing.

Anyone else?

Aaron White was 6'5" or 6'6" when he accepted Iowa's offer in 2010. He grew a couple of more inches in his last year of high school. Late Bloomer. He had been a guard in HS early on and a decent handle and spring in his legs. Good work ethic but not a big physical guy.

Marble was a legacy and a very young guy at Iowa. Dramatic change came after freshman year and he really matured during late sophmore year.

A couple of three stars that rose to be 4 stars. Add Uthoff in that mix. But no NBA players or serious draft picks. Joe "The Banker" is about about the only real Iowa recruit that has a legit chance if the program get a major reboot. Barta and Fran have to go.
