I pay taxes in the state of Iowa which some goes directly to the U of Iowa and trickles down to sports teams, whether directly or indirectly. So, if I don't contribute to NIL I don't get to complain? Thats just seems unfair.

At least I tried as opposed to those people like you who do jack shit to help the team get better.
I don't blame you, your just gullible. People fall for these schemes all the time. (Better have someone else watch your money when you retire). Doesn't mean the rest of us have to be sheep as well..

Good for you. Then I would assume that you won’t bitch if results aren’t good.
I attend 10s of events every year. I financially support the athletic department. I work at the UIHC, so my monthly parking payment goes to the UI Athletics Department. I pay for BTN/BTN+ monthly: another contribution. I buy officially licensed merchandine.

Sorry if I don't buy the narrative, brother.

Then don’t piss and moan about Iowa athletics. All of you tavern hawks are the same you use Iowa athletics as a social gathering. You put on a unlicensed Iowa shirt, drink cheap beer, complain about your shitty life and family and then blame it all on Payton Sandfort or Connor Colby.
Only tavern hawks call others tavern hawks.

You are supporting the teams and athletic department right now then, especially with revenue sharing coming in. Attendance at events will be even more important in the future. I misunderstood your initial statement. I took it that you weren’t doing any of those things. While nil is going to be important, fans who attend games, support the Athletic Department and buy merchandise are equally as important.

I have bought a lot of season tickets over the years, and still do. I have not contributed to NIL.

I don't complain about the teams, I'm not a bitcher and whiner.

I never felt that my purchasing of tickets gave me a right to complain, but some people view the world differently and are itching to complain.

Only if you don't piss and moan about the pissing and moaning.

By the way where do you get those unlicensed Iowa shirts? I'd like to same some money to use at the tavern on Coors light with my buddies while pissing and moaning and Kirk not using all his timeouts.

I’ve bought swarm beer but I will die never giving one cent to directly paying for college players.

How is it considered "name, image, and likeness" when we don't even know whose name, image, or likeness we are ultimately supporting? Time to call this what it is. Crowdsourcing the "pay to play" system.

I have bought season tickets for years, attended school there, have made 20 years of annual donations to the school itself.

I will never just start forking over cash to some "collective" to dole out to high school kids. Just not going to happen on pure principle. If others want to, it is a free country. It just blows my mind where this is at. Absolutely a significant reason my interest has plummeted.
