Can’t imagine being so selfish as to make others wait as I back out of a parking spot to leave. I realize that the world does not revolve around me, so I back in to a spot to park. It’s just being courteous to others.

You have it exactly backwards. When you back in, people have to wait for you. When you back out, you wait for others to pass until you have an opening. So nobody is waiting for you.

Not sure how this isn't obvious.

I have it exactly right, but then again, I care about others.

WTF are you talking about? The chances of someone having to wait for you while you over shoot the spot, then throw it in reverse while you back in are the same as you backing out, and someone coming along in the parking lot that has to brake for you. Or, if you are like me, you wait to there is no one coming before back out of the space. If you back in all of the time, you are the one telling everyone else that your time is more important than their time.

Bro, just give them the "sorry I am an asshole wave." It is all about caring for other people.

I’m a quick backer upper. They understand. They appreciate how quickly I can get out of the spot when I exit.

This guy gets it.

People that back in are monsters. 90% of them can't even do it efficiently. If you are part of the 10% that can back in properly, I give you a pass.
I generally pull into an angled parking space but often back into one that is perpendicular. I drive a full size truck and it is often easier to back into a tight space.

And I'm a ten percenter.

At my old office we had the view of the parking lot, and there was this dude that always backed in. It would take him 2 or 3 attempts to get his Ford Escape between a couple of cars. It just became a bit of a meme over time.

I don't drive a ford escape but otherwise that could have been me. My spatial skills with parking have to be in the bottom 5% of the population. The only person I know who is worse is my wife.

Pull through far from entrance near the easiest way to get out of lot and get and extra 400 steps closer to 15,000 daily target.

My company has a strict back up policy and our most common PMVI for our fleet is backing into things, I kid you not.

Except you are making people wait for you, while claiming you are NOT making people wait for you. You aren't even denying this. You are very, very confused.
When I back in and no one is coming, I am not making anyone wait. Sorry about your lack of perspective.

Lol! And when I back out and nobody is coming, nobody waits.

The difference is, you have no control over whether or not someone is there when you back in. But when I back out, I can just wait until nobody is coming.

Again, you are simply factually, objectively, wrong. This isn't about "perspective", or "concern for others." It's about logistical facts.

You force people to wait for you more than I do. Fact.

I can't tell if he's trolling or just stupid.

Nope

If it's available, pull through.

Otherwise, pull in.

Exception; sporting event or some other activity where everyone is going to be leaving at the same. Then back in for a safer and easier exit.

This, though I understand backing in if you're driving a full-size pickup truck. The tenants that lease the back half of my office building are in a business in which most of the work crew drives big trucks, and they all back into their spots. Their secretary drives a compact car, and she too backs into her spot, which I find hilarious.

This is correct.

People that back into spaces at convenience stores are a-holes.

I generally pull in but it can depend on the situation. I won't back in if there is someone behind me.

#1 priority getting your vehicle in between the designated lines. Not on and definitely not over.

If you know how to park and want to be as safe as possible, then pull through or back in for perpendicular spots. You are more likely to hit another vehicle or a pedestrian backing out of a space instead of pulling forward out of one. Additionally other vehicles can see you more easily backing into a space than if you are backing out of a space. You can see other vehicles when pulling forward out of a space.

For angled parking, you would have to be brain damaged to back in to a spot if following the correct flow of traffic.

And FFS, if you don't know how to parallel park correctly, either get a vehicle that can do it for you or find different parking that you are able to actually do properly.
