I don't want them to open it back up until my employer commits to keeping us working remote to do our part for the time being. I think they'll need about 3 more weeks of data seeing this isn't adversely impacting productivity (if anything, helping productivity as people are working more of the needed voluntary OT including decent weekend chunks).
ops mom backside curvesCan’t you people at least wait a few more weeks until we’re firmly on the backside of the curve? I mean JFC.

We all know that when you talk about costs you mean dollars, not people.Yes, there's no cost to just sitting at home. This feels fine.gif.

On a related note, can you tell people what company you’re with so people know to never place a loved one in one of your facilities?
Sure, worse than dead."Dollars" equals lives, too. People DIE from bad economic conditions. We are literally causing a catastrophe that's worse than the virus.
Sure, worse than dead.
You open it up and I'll stay at home.
I completely understand wanting to be able to provide for their families and pay their bills like responsible Americans. But it seems like these people that are wanting to not listen to the medical guidance and rush back back to work are the same people who would be financially devastated for years if they got COVID-19 and had to pay the hospital bills for it.
Lockdown the old and the sick and everybody else goes back to work.
Virus debate aside, there are things worse than death in this life.Sure, worse than dead.
Only if you make InstaCart free for oldtimers. And provide free home visits from doctors.I want the *open it up but stay at home if you are over 65* option.
I predict companies that rush people back are going to get sued for unsafe working conditions. Unless they are implementing social distancing in the workplace and providing PPE as appropriate, they should not ask people to come back to the office.
I’m guessing most companies will continue to have as many people as possible work from home for the foreseeable future.

Terrible, to be sure, but choice was involved. Not so much with COVID-19.Small business owner commits suicide because everything he built during his whole life is suddenly gone.
That's just as bad as a COVID death, wouldn't you say?
That is my guess as well and since it is the states in many cases that are throwing up these “open for business” signs I expect they will see lawsuits as well.
There is national guidance put out via the Trump administration that has been stamped by medical experts and everyone in the nation knows it. Those states that jump phases and shirk the guidelines are also likely opening themselves up to litigation.
It's a trade-off for the suggestion that only old-timers be locked down. Why? Going to the store or the doctor isn't "free"... you still have to pay for gas or public transportation fare.

I hope all the vulture lawyers get the C-19 and freaking die. Painfully. After 30 days in the vent unit. Fvck them all.
A much better point than it has any right to be in America.Hitler blamed Germany’s economic woes partially on the Jews and asked that they be locked up as well...just saying.
Why is this a concern now? Suicide has been a tremendous issue for some time. Not to mention the effects of poverty. Now it's a big issue for some because it's affecting their way of life. Give me a break.Small business owner commits suicide because everything he built during his whole life is suddenly gone.

Those lawyers are just representing people who feel have been knowingly put in harms way.

Sadly, we have plenty of people willing to save money by pushing for conditions where more old people will die.
Most of them are clown shows who don't give a crap about their clients.
