If this guy really exists, you have to give him the title by default.
Cardinals gather in the Vadican and elect a new pope. Takes a 2/3rds supermajority to be elected. They take a vote see how the votes come out then discuss, vote again, discuss til people start gravitating to one candidate.
College of Cardinals convene and vote for a successor....hopefully will not be needed.

Francis is 88. If this doesn't take hime something else soon will.
I think the bigger question is if they will go for another caretaker pope in their 70's or if they will aim for a younger guy in his 50's or so as a long term pope.
