Possible 1 year rentals

He wrestled 184 in redshirt this year and didn’t lose
He wrestled 79KG Feb 6th of this year.
He did wrestle 184 at three minor opens.
The best wrestler he faced was a 7-2 win over #49 Jaden Bullock who has a 10-11 record.
Wrestling up in his redshirt year doesn’t mean he is a full sized 184 pounder, given that he has been competing at 174 (79KG) for team USA.

TY - kid has no place to go in the F*** st line up. I would be looking to add him in at 157 if he can make that weight?

YES people have been stealing my lines, ideas etc.... for many years!!!

Rocco will hopefully be a HAWK if AJ is not!!!
157 was a pretty tough cut for him this year and he only made it because in theory, I guess sucking down to challenge Kasak for a starting spot is more appealing than challenging Mesenbrink or Haines. After he lost the spot, he hasn't made the weight since, and they've sent out others (Sealey) to fill in when Kasak was hurt. You're correct that he is a long shot for a starting spot. Not only is Kasak going nowhere, but Sealey and Duke will be in the mix for 157 next year as well, and both Mesenbrink and Haines are back again. It wouldn't surprise me even slightly if he left to start somewhere, but it won't be somewhere where his starting spot includes sucking down to 157 when he has a choice in the matter. Michigan is the obvious choice for him for schools, but Mantanona has looked good at 165 this year, and his brother is coming in at 174 next year, so that probably doesn't fit the bill based on lineup availability. Michigan St maybe, I guess.

Rocco Welsh has been wrestling internationally at 79KG (174lbs).
Unless he gets a lot bigger, he would be significantly undersized at 184 next year.
:D Well now you got me thinkin round here!!!! The NEW line up is Caliando , Arnold, Welsh, Angelo, and AJ!!!!

Yes that is what I figured about the "CornSyrup" kid. He is stuck in no mans land so a speak. Sealey does not look good another Krailure FAILURE!!! There are some other guys we are leaving out in this weight range(57-84) TWOOOOO!!!! I am hoping we can get DUKE to de committee and step in at 157!!! He would be stupid not to!!!

He has to see the total GARBAGE taking place in NOT so happy fun low lying waste land!!! HONESTLY, I do not think I ever seen a team doing so well and just being 100% horses asses ALL the time and he has to be seeing it also!!! the TOP PA kids are obviously seeing it and want NO part of it!!!

From the fans to the wrestlers. For EXAMPLE you have KatSak wrestling a clearly injured TEEMER and he HAS TO act like a JACKASS in the end!!! Once more, ALL the wanna be bandwagon fans think its sooooo cool!?!?!?!? OK, now watch this!!!! The following week, KatKrap APPEARS to bang heads and goes down wrestling Maryland. Injury Defaults and the Maryland kid celebrates. POS wanna bee bandwagon fans NOW do not like it!??!?!!?

ANOTHER example is the recent signings of BASSETT and JAX. I full understand that EVERY team wants these kids, but IF a kid such as ROSS from IOWA signs on to another team. IOWA fans go DARN!!!! They then wish him well UNLESS he meets a HAWK, and we look at who we should get to beat him!!!!

Do NOT even try to argue that MANY of your POS fans started right in against these HS kids!!!! I was correct AGAIN in saying the kids will begin to see the horse SHeeeeeTTTT over there and it happened!!!! Can't wait till MORE top PA kids leave!!!!

OH, if you have DUKE's contact, please pass it to me so I can send him a message!!!!
He is top 5 this year and 1, 2, and 3 who he just beat graduate. Top 2 next year and the favorite sounds more realistic.
ANGELO is #1 right out of the gate next year!!! He will be the MAN to beat!!!

184 won’t be weak next year. PSU has maybe Barr, maybe Ryder who beat Gabe last summer. Rocco Welsh returns and is looking pretty salty.Mccenelly back as a sophomore. 5th is Probly low but it’s not a foregone conclusion
I'm understanding your logic, but I'm not buying anything short of top 1. Someone's going to have to beat Angelo before I believe someone can beat him. And I don't think any of the names you provided are going to do it. I think that's some good competition but I don't think they're on the same level. Just my take. Hope Buchanon hangs around to keep working with him. We need some more good hammers in the HWC, especially in the heavier weights...ok, middle weights as well. :)

If I had Duke's number, I 100% would share it with you, just to ensure that he's a PSU lifer. LOL. I have Phil Arnold's number. Do you want it? Rutgers could use Gabe next year.

I don’t have a problem with having confidence in our guy. Only with calling the guy an idiot for basically giving Angelo a floor of top five as a freshman. I think top 3 myself. Crazy things happen. Hard to put a freshman on tier 1 island before he’s in the lineup officially. I remember that Spencer Lee guy losing a few to OSU and OSU his freshman year…

Yep…and I remember Lee winning NCAAs that year. And you’re correct, he didn’t deserve to be called an idiot; a Moran is more appropriate. I think he slighted our guy on purpose so I’m not going to give much grace. Angelo wrested well against a 4-time champ not giving up a TD and then beat the number 3 guy. AND the number 1 and 2 guy are out next year so Angelo is top 5. NOT! I offer that rookie poster what the godfather offered in Godfather II, “nothing.” In fact I would appreciate it if he would offer Angelo an apology for slighting him like that.

Thought Welsh wanted 174, that’s why he redshirted this year. Could have been their 184 this year.

Aden Valencia is Nyla Valencia's brother??? Just found that out skimming through his Instagram and saw Nyla then went to the Iowa women's wrestling website to double check.

Agree, Blaze will be right there. However, Ryder and Mirasola have a long way to go to equal Starocci and Kerk.
Ryder and Mirasola don't need to be Starocci or Kerk. They will be fine as themselves and having just spent a year in PSU's room. Ryder probably is a legitimate contender next year, and Mirasola i think will be good enough to threaten the top 2 or 3 and should be top 4.

Seems too high for each of them to me but we will find out next year, assuming they make the lineup.

Not at all. The point was Real went to Stanford and everyone said it was for the education. You can get a good education anywhere. If you’re a world class wrestler and want to pursue it, go to any good school because they all have good academics if you apply yourself. Iowa is good enough school to tout their academics as well. In other words, go get Valencia
You can get a great education anywhere - what you can’t get from everyone is the credibility that goes with it.

And then we can trash him and Brands when he doesn't wrestle Saturday night.

There's nothing wrong with predicting a top 5 finish. Lots of sh1t can happen over 3 days in March!
I didn't trash talk the rookie poster...and I've never (not once) trash talked Angelo, nor will I regardless of how he finishes. My issue with the rookie poster was that I thought he disrespected Angelo and Angelo's body of work...and I didn't appreciate that.

I may have missed some context.

I think that Angelo's arrow is way, way up and feel like he has the potential to be a 4Xer. However, I've seen this story too many times where we bash guys when they do not meet our expections (guilty as charged unfortunately) so I want to pump the brakes. That said, 84 does clear out a bit for next year and I like our guy, A LOT!

I think we're all a little guilty from time to time; it's our competitive blood. :) I'm thinking that a guy like Angelo will be a rockstar unless injuries happen such as was the case with Kemerer. And despite all his injuries and his finishes at NCAAs, Kem will always be one of my favorite Hawks!! :)

With Salazar graduating I wonder if Mcennelly bumps to 97? He's huge at 84. He should bump and relocate a few hundred miles south as a matter of fact.
