First great team win, contributions from so many. Iowa's press changed the game. Second half started with both teams doing well offensively, what I most liked was no mental let down when the Hawks played good D yet PU scored anyway. It was like they said ok we will stop you next time then. The Hawks would score and then ok let's play tough D again and got after it. Loved the attitude !
Basketball is funny how things play out. I was very disappointed that Jones was lost for the season, to me it was a big loss, but at the sane time it gives Baer a bigger opportunity for more playing time. An opportunity that most of us feel was a blessing as he has taken fantastic advantage of. Which brings me to Sapp, without his play yesterday, we don't come back IMO. NOW i hope his injury heals by this evening and he is ready to go 110% by game time against the Huskers, but if he isn't there is a huge opportunity for William's and Ellingson to pick up their games and gain big time game experience that will bode well in the future. This is why Williams is on the team this year and not redshirting, need at a certain position, much like Wagner up front. Both Williams and Wagner and Flemming for that matter may also have benefited IMO with a redshirt year( can't redshirt everybody, I know lol) ,as Baer and Ellingson did last year and Hutton and Moss are doing this year.
I guess what I am trying to get at is I believe in Fran' s recruitment and , development of his players and when the opportunity arises and it will, they seize that moment and boom their careers explode from there.
What do others think?

A hip pointer can linger as we all know. I'd expect we'll have approx. 7 minutes to fill if Sapp is out.

Williams will get his shot, but we might see Fran go really big depending on the score. If Mike were to have foul trouble then we're in trouble. Flemming could also get minutes but I don't think we have anyone who can push the ball or facilitate for significant minutes. JU as a point forward? Who knows. With foul trouble for Mike & limited or no Sapp we could drop anygame.

The front court next year will have Uhl, Jones, Wagner, and Baer & 3 freshman. The red shirts will be trying to fit in too. There will be good competition and we should be alright. Those who are looking for Cook to be the man will likely be bummed in the minutes he gets.

At this stage in the season I don't expect any big unexpected contributions. There was a lot of Baer buzz for a while and there hasn't been a much on Williams or others making noise in practice.

PG is scarey in the future.

Good thoughts OP.

A quick note on expectations for next year. No one expected us (ok, one guy did. ZaHawks was it?) Anyway the point is few people thought we'd win the last two games. Who knows what next year will bring? But to those worried about a point guard, Fran didn't seem too worried about it when he went after Jones with the last scholarship for 2015. And, remember, this is the coach that pulled a Bryce Cartwright out of a late recruiting season hat when he saw the need.

We'll see where we are at with Clemmons come game time. Without him Baer will get more minutes with Jok at the two. Ellingson could get more minutes. And Williams could get some minutes backing up Gesell. And THAT, provided we win the game, I would love to see.

However, absence of playing time by guys like Williams, Fleming, Moss, Hutton even Wagner? We knew going in this would be a senior laden team. I'm sticking with my often viewed as too optimistic outlook on things as it seems it turns out right more often than not. And my "Pollyanna" outlook is we're going to have a very talented, young team in 2016/17 and some of the guys were not seeing now will display the game I've expected to see as they develop.
