Well you have to think about all the other things that everyone pays for that skyrocketed. Car insurance, vehicles, homes, interest rates on mortgages for new home buyers, home insurance, rent, etc….
The lower and middle class were already stretched thin and then you get these items outside of groceries and you have the people turning their backs on whoever is in office.
I also want to bring up the argument from the left about the GDP, stock market, inflation slowing, and unemployment. Yes, they were on a positive swing and the numbers were above avg to good but so many people aren’t really exposed to stocks and don’t give a shit about Macro numbers on the economy. Then they go on and tout this but then you have everyone saying, well xyz is still way too much or my wages are not rising like you say they are. The dems were essentially ignoring what was being said and it’s why you get this abandonment of what was a strong democrat voting bloc.

What "energy" is going to bring down the prices of groceries? Like the Force from Star Wars? Does he realize that oil production is at all-time highs (without affecting grocery prices downward)? What other "energy" levers is he planning to use?
