Trump on grocery prices: "It's hard to bring things down once they're up."

I expect Trump's inflation on food prices to be less than Biden's.
Could be…the food prices have already spiked! Unless there is a national disaster (drought/famine) watch and see what happens to coffee prices over the next year…climate changes have greatly and adversely affected coffee prices in central and South America already…Africa is reporting issues with coffee too.,but we will be sure to blame Trump for any and all $$$ increases after 1/20/25.

Bonespurs is already setting us up for not being able to fulfill his promises and bring down prices. And he isn't even in office yet. What kind of excuses and promises is he going to break once he hits the oval office? Can you spell 'trainwreck'?

Leopards don’t change their spots. We know what Trump is gonna do while in office. We have had 4 years of it already. He is comfortable doing what he does.
Have you bought your Trump Bible (nade in China) yet? He is about your Trump sneakers? Trump watch? Only a few more shopping days ‘til Christmas! ;)

You know it will be the bigliest Inaguration parade ever…he will have pics to prove it!

The great thing is, when prices are higher again in 2028, Trump is going to get blamed and the dems are going to sweep back in to power.
I wouldn’t necessarily bet on it.

Trump will lie his a$$ off again and MAGA and his Congressional apologists will fall in line and believe it.

They are heading down the rabbit hole of no return, and we are all F'd.

I’m sending a certain sarcasm here.

If I’m not. Trump hasn’t been blamed nor held accounted for anything recently.

So it’s super depressing.

Depends on how you heard him,.. Prices, in general, never come down, and the negative inflation required to actually make that happen would be very bad for the economy as a whole,.. But one way to make higher prices feel acceptable is to put more money in people pockets via wage growth... A bottle of domestic beer used to be $1 whereas now it's more like $5, but it actually feels less expensive to me now than it did back in the day...
Trump didn't run on lower inflation, Trump ran on bringing prices down. He isn't even sworn in and you're already trying to reinvent history. You're as dishonest as he is.

They think that drill baby still passes onto the consumer.
These idiots believe that companies will invest more money to drill more oil to drive oil prices down so the can make less money. That is how stupid they are. That along with adding a tariff on Canadian oil so we can pay a tax on every barrel we import. You can't make this kind of stupid up.

The price of gasoline at the pump is more in the hands of the Arabs than anyone else. I hope everyone gets understands that the Arabs have REDUCED their pumping quotas to increase the price of oil on the market..if they feel they are losing market share, they can easily increase their pumping capabilities and in doing so, take the profits out if oil…. Which will lead to capping of wells, especially in America.

Well if there’s one thing that Trump and his minions will champion, it has to be higher wages and incomes for the lower and middle class. Surely they’ll not abandon them. Surely.

If the prices of groceries don't come down, will your presidency be a failure?

"I don't think so. Look, they got them up. I'd like to bring them down. It's hard to bring things down once they're up. You know, it's very hard. But I think that they will. I think that energy is going to bring them down. I think a better supply chain is going to bring them down."

You guys need to quit crying and actually attempt to have a molecule of self respect.

Change your pants.

It’s true tho…if wage growth exceeds inflation, then you have more purchasing power. 🤔
You mean like they have for the last two whole years under Biden? Enjoy it for now because that trend will soon be ending for the foreseeable future, except for the top 10% or so of us.

Gas currently $2.50/gallon or less and eggs under $3/dozen. So long easy street, hello hardship so billionaires can prosper even more.

Not totally, they reduced there oil output because Trump told them to or he couldn't guarantee we could leave our military there to protect them. Nothing was stopping Biden from pressuring them to increase output to help with Trumps disaster.
