We elected a convicted felon who talked about a golfer's penis as a rally. Gary Hart dropped out of the race after his picture was taken with someone who wasn't his wife. It was scandalous for that period. Today no one would bat an eye.
Inflation is 2.5% which is good. Prices aren't coming down save a recession. Once they go up they stay there.
My question is how long can the average consumer continue to spend. With the prices being higher than the increase in paychecks. The tariff talk with Canada won’t go anywhere. The prime minister needs to make deals. Now Mexico/China and the demands Trump is after we’ll be more problematic. An additional increase in costs will eventually cause consumers to balk.
He never made that promise. He said it would be a woman. Period. Regardless, she was not a good pick and I didn’t like it at the time.
I don’t think that’s the main reason, but I do know we have spent more now anticipating the coming belt tightening.

Or look at it on the flip side. The poors are taking advantage of sales instead of paying the inflated price on everything.
Are they not supposed to get kids/family presents because they are poor? Are they not allowed to be upset about prices of items and also take advantage of sales? Not to mention, wealthy people tight with their money love to save money when they can.
A better way to look at this would be showing poors buying expensive unnecessary items. Like the newest iPhone was released and everyone was paying with some form or government support to pay for the phone.
