PSU/tOSU/OSU line ups next season

Gman
Clark
Turk/Carton/Ryan
Sorensen
Kemdawg
Marinelli
Paddock/Young
Brooks
Meyer
Stoll

^not necessarily */ backups.- midlands decisions.
Go Hawks!!!

PSU:
125 Suriano
133 Cortez
141 Gulibon
149 Retherford
157 Nolf
165 Hall
174 Nickal
184 Rasheed
197 Cassar
Hwt Nevills

From all reports to date, Hall will NOT be in the lineup next year; either a RS or OTC year. Cenzo Joseph appears to have the inside track at 165, though we shall see.
Wasn't Joseph at 149 this year? Does he have the frame for 165?

I'm pretty sure Ryans 141 pound ship has sailed. I think Meyer or Brooks would do great at 197. The following is for the crazy lineup guy.
Gman
Carton
Clark
Kemdawg
BS
Bull
Paddock, Moody, Gunther, SSJ, Young, Transfer
Brooks
Meyer
Stoll

The most important thing is to get the lineups set now. Brooks/Meyer and Kem/BS need to iron out where they are going right now so Rutt can earn his money over the next 6 months.

The PSU website has Joseph listed at 149 so that's why I thought he wouldn't be going 165 next year - I didn't know he competed at 57/65 this season.

Pretty sick lineup. You sure on Hall? No otc?

I kept hearing RS for a long time, but just before the tournament, I started hearing that the shirt may be lifted, and usually when you hear that, it ends up being lifted. Of course, this is Cael and not Smith or Ryan. Cael, and Brands, stay to their word i.e. redshirts, whereas Smith and Ryan are "win at all cost" and if a shirt can be lifted they will do that every time: Jojo, Martin, Snyder, etc...

Michigan will also be a title contending team:
125) Youtsey 2xAA
133) Micic immediate title contender
141) Hall/Fisher
149) Pantaleo AA
157) Murphy AA
165) Logan Massa fr AA contender
174) Mahomes
184) Abounader
197) Wildmo
hvy) Coon 2xAA

Youtsey could be the odd man out I expect Micic to go 125 and they've got Assaad there as well who is a 125 that could go 133

This is the first I'm hearing this on the world wide web. Care to indulge us a little more because I can see Rasheed getting into the starting lineup next year, and Cael favors him?

Just what I am being told by 2 very connected sources in the wrestling room. They did not go into to much detail, it has also been discussed a little on 247.

Time for Rasheed to exact his revenge.

We should go after a jc kid for 174. Jacobee Smith is the real deal. I heard he's going to ok state. I'm not sure why he would do that when they have Rogers and Crutchmer. I'm not sure what Meyers plans are for next year. He's cutting a ton and is really an 84. I don't think Brooks is big enough to go to up to 97 so we'll have to wait and see. I just hope that if one of them decides to go up they start getting bigger now.

Brooks and Meyer could excel at 97 if they start the move now.

The word around the program is Rasheed will be transferring.

LMAO, that is a troll named "RUCreedo" who every year starts a rumor about one of our guys transferring to Rutgers. Rasheed was there with the trophy in his hands and a big smile two nights ago at the Garden.

Well, for one, Rasheed isn't transferring anywhere, and for two, he is going at 184 next year, because he could not pull the weight this year. This was why Cael went with Morelli, and it's also why Shakur is right now around 190 pounds, haha.

I've seen others present these potential lineups; tOSU looks tough

tOSU
125-Tomasello
133-Pletcher (or Rodriguez if he RS's)
141-KeShawn Hayes
149-Micah Jordan
157-Jake Ryan (or Burcher or Kresevic)
165-Isaiah White (or Ryan/Kresesvic if he RS's)
174-Bo Jordan
184-Myles Martin
197-Kollin Moore
HWT-Snyder

PSU
125: Suriano
133: Cortez/Gulibon
141: Gulibon/Cortez
149: Retherford
157: Nolf
165: Morelli/Joseph/Rasheed/Hammond
174: Nickal
184: McCutcheon/Rasheed
197: Cassar /Stout
285: Nevills

OSU
125: Piccinni
133: Brock
141: Heil/Boo Lewellyn
149: Collica/Heil
157: Smith/Collica
165: Rogers
174: Crutchmer
184: Boyd
197: Weigel /Little Marsden
285: Little Marsden/???

That ok state lineup is solid. Looks like 9AA but no champs. They don't have anything behind big Mardsen at Hwt?

They do but not anything that would help in a team race. Little Marsden doesn't have the frame to go HWT, could see Schaefer move up there or an incoming freshmen if he's ready

It'll be interesting for Rodgers to make 165. He looked as big Meyers at 174. Also Cutch looks huge at 174 and was gassing quite a bit before he got hurt.

I don't know if Rogers made 65 this year but he did quite a few times last year. I'm sure he'll be at uww juniors so it'll be interesting to see where he goes there. I don't think Crutch has a choice where to go with the assurance of Boyd. Dude just blew up the second half of the season.

Rasheed is a really tantalizing prospect. Didn't handle the cut to 165 at all well this year. But ... I'm sitting in MSG watching the 5/6 match at 165 and both guys were opponents over which Rasheed had really big leads and was dominating before he gassed (in spectacular fashion, too). He looked HUGE at Nationals, so 184 would seem to be perfect for him. With McCutcheon's injury issues (back and knee), at the very least it would be good to have a high quality backup there.

After thinking about it Northeastern Oklahoma's HWT won it at JUCO. He's pretty good. I have no idea where he's going but could fill a hole.

NaTo will be wrestling at 125 next season. It might not be the most ideal scenario for Nate, bit just like team captain an teammate Bo Jordan did the same this past season, Nate will remain at 125 this year for the betterment of the team and the team race. It comes down to simply there is more point scoring opportunity with the options at 133 next season vs the alternative 125, which has next to no option heads into next season. Recruiting a dominant, elite national 125 recruit next recruiting cycle (Spencer Lee cough cough)is imperative for Tom Ryan and the Bucks. If Ryan is successful in landing a top 125, I think he'll be recruited to take a Zain Retherford path similar, that is wrestle as a true freshman allowing Nate to bump up to 133 his SR season, and then the 125 take his redshirt the following season on why could be a reload year for the Bucks once Snyder, BoJo and NaTo all graduate.

IMO Nato is a contender at either weight with the exception of too much cutting to 125 killing him. Richards is not the tallest guy around either and does fine at 133. Pletcher is not much of an AA threat at 133 next year, I doubt Rodriguez is either. Maybe at 125 they are but not 133.

It's not like Tomasello struggled all year. His only loss of the year came in OT to a great wrestler in Gilman. Yes, it might be a tough cut, like it is for many and always has been, but it certainly didn't seem to effect his on the mat performance. He'll be very good wherever he lands, of that I am certain.

Rasheed isn't going anywhere anytime soon this rumor can get out to rest

Ill take some of that action. I don't believe he will be content to stay at PSU and never start ever again. Hes not going to beat McCutcheon out next year then the writing will be crystal clear to him that as soon as McCutcheon graduates that either Hall or Cenzo will be 165/174 in either order and Nickal will be 184. No way is nickel done growing. And don't kid yourself and misjudge Mcutcheon because when healthy he is night and day different than the dude we saw limp into the postseason. Really for Rasheed to get that 174 spot if Hall does go 165 would have to mean Cenzo was a flop. Ill take it, lord know you guys are do for a top ranked guy to not pan out.

So tell me where is he going to fit in unless you think he going 197? You guys have talk more about the Casser guy than we do Brody lol. But then again PSU is so fun who cares if you start or get a starters equivlant of scholly money. Im sure his parent are ready to pay everything but books to watch him ride the pine when he could move closer to home and start.

Theres an odd man out coming up for PSU, its inevitable. in one way or another one of either Rasheed, Cenzo or McCutcheon wont be starting. my money is on Rasheed transferring begining 2nd semester next year so he can be eligible at Ruthgers 2nd half of the next year.

You don't get it. Penn State has top ten talent stacked three deep at every weight class because they don't even want scholarships. They're happy to have to pay their own way through school and be bench backups just for the privilege of being coached by Cael. At least, that's what PSU fans tell me.
