in my opinion being on the zebras bad side costs Iowa 1-2 B1G games per season.
You said a mouthful there brother.

Very nice Bob, thanks for the info. I'd agree that Garza seems to have that edge. It was one of the things that made Woody valuable, that didn't show up in the box scores. I could see Garza having many of Woody's good qualities, but as a much more skilled offensive player. On top of that, Kreiner seems to be elevating his game, and is prepared to compete for his minutes as well. Should make them both that much better. Couldn't be more excited about the future of Iowa hoops! That lineup is as good of a guess as any.
..although I only saw Garza for a few minutes...he strikes me in a couple ways. He is a gamer...wouldnt go as far to say a brawler...but he isnt afraid to mix it up...I dont think the match up with Wagner/Williams team was the best for him.
.. He also seems to hold himself to a standard...Smart player..I dont think he is going to be a 'good loser'..which isnt a bad thing. Its possible in the early going come fall he will be his own worse critic..might be a little too hard on himself. Natural progression with experience.
Nunge is talented offensively..no question and he knows it (confident).. Really good handles for a 7 footer. While Uthoff was a stretch 4 who could knock down 3's when delivered the ball when open...Nunge is as well...the difference is Nunge has the potential to create his own 3.
these two are going to be alot of fun to watch thats for sure.
Yes and Luka said he may still be growing as well! How tall is nunge the recruiting profile has him at 6'9 but everybody on the pod cast keeps saying around 7' so has he grown since the profile was made
ya dont have the memory you have...thus my comment I believe. Am i correct in that he played some PTL before committing to Wisconsin?
Just like to say, as I did at the time, when is an ESPN 4* recruit ever a fall back for Iowa. ESPN, a service that typically under rates Iowa recruits, had Jordan in the top 120 players nationally and a four star recruit. That is never a fall back recruit for Iowa.
Jordan is performing at that level and has more than justified his ratings.
He did, but Brady certainly didn't guard him the entire game.....lots of switching off. I would also suggest that when you see good defense in these games it's not the norm so it stands out.
I mentioned this in another thread but it fits here too. Brady did not start out guarding him and the guy was going crazy early. Then Brady took over the guarding responsibilities for a period of time and the guy looked like an average MVC guy. It was very noticeable that Brady's D was a cut above.
Just watched highlights and both of them hitting long jumpers. Brady is shooting more, Woo Hoo!Was impressed with both Moss & Ellingson
I'm very impressed with Ryan. You're right, he looks weightier and stronger. His outside shots look great and I love that "Get the heck out of my way" look and attitude!Kreiner definitely looked beefier. He played pretty hard and was pretty physical. He had some, grab the ball and go to the hoop with a serious dunk going on. The main take away for me is that he was definitely stronger, more intense, and confident. It was good.
So you SAW that with your own eyes.As others have mentioned as well.
I'd like to thank L. Wade Childress and Legend12 for looking at box scores and informing us of how the game went.

Really like that we've got 10 fouls of aggressive attitude in true centers now.I'm very impressed with Ryan. You're right, he looks weightier and stronger. His outside shots look great and I love that "Get the heck out of my way" look and attitude!. Yes, very intense.
