Since PR(punt returner) is not listed on the portal or as a roster position ,who are the best who are the best available? Does Kaden Wejten still have a year of eligiblility?

He should have an extra year if he wants it since he didn't play any games at Iowa in 2022 after only one year at Iowa Western.

I spoke with a close family member of his a few days ago and they confirmed he will play one more year of college ball.

If he gets more offensive opportunities these upcoming few weeks during bowl prep, then his final year he'll remain a hawk. Otherwise he'll enter the transfer portal.
He's a great KR/PR, but would teams pay big NIL for just that with limited WR stats? Iowa needs to take advantage of his quicks next year with more jet sweeps, bubble screens, etc.

well then, he will probably be gone just like CJ unfortunately. Ferentz is going to do what he wants and so be it as usual

No, I don't think (most) teams would pay big NIL for an excellent returner with hardly any offensive stats.

I think he just wants more offensive reps in general. I think it'd be fair to say that with his current stats as a returner, he'd likely be picked up by an NFL team as an UDFA. If he received more offensive opportunities next season with the play types you mentioned, there's a greater chance he becomes a later round pick instead of an UDFA.

I never did figure out why he wasn't used more as a WR this year. I thought he could have done well in the slot.

This is what I have been saying! He's done a great job proving time and time and time again what he can do in space but we NEVER get him the opportunity to make one man miss for 5-8 yards a pop. We already failed horribly with Jones. Why must we keep relearning the same lesson?

Probably not about NIL as much as him wanting to showcase his talents.
See Chuck Sizzle.
No opportunity at Iowa, way too sexy to utilize Wetjens talents, plus he fumbled once in 7th grade.
