And I will say this once. My yearly donations are more than your salary and I have doing it since graduating law school from Iowa over 20 years ago. I suggest u back off and let the adults banter
Hiya tool!Hey Hawk for life - if I am a closet Clone fan go to the wrestling board and ask who the biggest donors are to the Hawks u idiot.
So, you're the one I need to talk to if I slip and fall. And I will say this once. My yearly donations are more than your salary and I have doing it since graduating law school from Iowa over 20 years ago. I suggest u back off and let the adults banter
LOLMy guess is he is making crap up. An ISU coach today said Purdy let ISU know Monday he was coming. A&M was gonna take whoever committed 1st and Purdy chose to come to Ames. And yes Bama offered I'm not sure why this dude keeps saying they didn't.
No, really? I wondered why (not ) he said Campbell doesn't back away from anyone including Saban.Nice pick up for Campbell and staff ...
(Sidenote: I know Randy Peterson covers the Cyclones and he used to cover the Hawkeyes ... My personal two cents is he sometimes writes more like a "fan" than as a newspaper journalist ... He's a little too excited in some of his articles or tries too hard to talk up the Cyclones ...)

They act like Campbell is some kind of recruiting god and they didn't even crack the top 50. The best lie they so badly want to believe is that we're trending down and the truth is the exact opposite. This may be the best recruiting staff we've had since the 80's.Yea, Alabama wanted him so bad three months ago they offered him.... A preferred walk-on position. He will probably do well at State, but the level of hype that comes from their fans is delusional!

"Iowa State coach Matt Campbell said the NCAA informed the Cyclones of their decision on Jan. 30, but the team held off on announcing it until Friday so it could focus on recruiting."
The recruits new about it. No lying.
meaning....we lied to this years qb and told him he'd have a chance to winning the starting role this year
keep it classy clowns lol
If completely true, which I doubt with bias,(you and me). Why pay for official visits if you don't want the kid? A big waste of money on the universities side. Bama was interested enough to offer but decided they wouldn't take a commitment right away and Purdy wasn't going to be left out. A&M pushed for him with side options as well but in the end, he chose substance over conjecture.
You are correct in that Alabama was interested in Purdy, but he never had an official offer. They had 2 other players they were focused on as higher priorities, with Purdy as a fall-back. Purdy saw the writing on the wall and basically said he wasn't waiting around, to which they told him to go elsewhere.
And you have it backwards with A&M. A&M was pushing hardest for the 4-star who committed "silently" last week, with Purdy and a few others as the side options. Once the 4-star committed, Purdy was informed ... BUT, he was also informed by A&M that they would still like to have him. He chose Iowa State.
People don't actually think that these kids legitimately chose ISU over Alabama, right?
Better question is if isu really did beat out Bama for 2 recruits why is it they are on the”Load More” page of the 247 recruiting rankings?
Why are you so concerned about it? Iowa gets it's recruits and ISU gets theirs.
Brock Purdy equals Joe Wieskamp, both Gatorade POY's.Alabama and Texas A&M had the kid on their radars as a fall-back recruit (Alabama never officially offered), but both schools got the prized QB recruits they really wanted, so Purdy chose Iowa State. Congrats?
(I keed, I keed... nice pick up for Iowa State, even if he was a fall-back recruit for the big boys.)

Arizona is so much softer than Iowa for sure.

On other hand Why are you so concerned what Iowa and their think as you have posted here so often.
I am not the one bitching about it. You are.
Yes, watching a lopsided game in favor of Iowa over the cyclowns will be fun to watch for me...for you, not so much.Meaning: You are being obtuse and the recruits were told before what was going on. I know you want to believe otherwise and I can't stop you. Besides, didn't you guys just sign a 4 stare QB? I looking forward to this years game in Iowa City. Should be another fun game to watch.
I'm happy with Kempt but he has obvious limitations that I think could be easily exposed now that teams have a full offseason to watch film on him. I expect the starting job to be a real competition throughout spring and fall.
What does one of if not the greatest high school basketball player in the history of the state have to do with a 3 star qb that's going to a 2nd rate school ? At least pick the same sport you stable genius.Brock Purdy equals Joe Wieskamp, both Gatorade POY's.

Did OR Did not Bama and A&M offer Purdy a scholarship? Are you trying to say they never offered him and this was all a ruse?Iowa State fans are delusional. Alabama never had a committable offer for the kid and Texas A&M got a better QB anyways. Congratulations to the clowns on signing a 3 star QB from Arizona. You beat out Illinois, Boise State, and Kansas. Whoooooo!
I hate to break it to you but you are wrong. In fact, Christian Kirk (AA aTm wr) was tweeting at Purdy to convince him to come to College Station. This was done right up until signing day.You are correct in that Alabama was interested in Purdy, but he never had an official offer. It hurts them so they react this way. It is not unexpected.Did OR Did not Bama and A&M offer Purdy a scholarship? Are you trying to say they never offered him and this was all a ruse?
Please enlighten us.

One rumor was that Alabama asked for him to commit a few days before signing day or they were going in a different direction. Then A&M "insiders" were spreading the "news" two days before signing day that he was picking A&M, then a day later changed their tune. Such drama in the recruiting world. He eliminated 'Bama earlier in the week (whether or not they would have accepted his commitment is a different discussion), and at his announcement ceremony only had A&M and ISU caps to choose from. That would be my guess as to why only A&M was mentioned.
