He's a product of the Rothschild's, I wouldn't expect any less.Cecil Rhodes was a racist imperialist, and so I would never accept a scholarship in his name.
Just counted my "ignore" list. I have 22 dingbats on it. Most are trolls from other teams and the rest are just plain jane idiots.
Why "yes". I'll send you a pretty participation trophy. What a snowflake. Did I use that term correctly, righties?
Yes, he was, but he's dead, and as far as I know, no ideology is expected with the money. My guess is that none of us would ever have been offered a Rhodes scholarship, so it's a moot point. If you ever are, I suggest that you take the offer.Cecil Rhodes was a racist imperialist, and so I would never accept a scholarship in his name.
I'm not a Democrat, or even much of a Liberal, but this is a very important point. The one thing that defines MAGA is the lack of post-secondary education. A board dedicated to college wrestling can't afford to become a haven for willful ignorance. Not ignoring eldub and 98 is important because this forum could turn into a MAGA echo chamber (like iowapreps/wrestling) without them.
So, by your definition, a bachelor's degree is not enough to have an educated opinion? If so, what exactly should your "post-secondary" education be? Master's? P.H.D.? In what field? Does continued education in your field count if you "only" have a B.D.?I'm not a Democrat, or even much of a Liberal, but this is a very important point. This statement could be one of the saddest and most ignorant statements I have ever read on this site! SMFH, this coming from obviously a “Well” educated man. Truely mindless!I'm not a Democrat, or even much of a Liberal, but this is a very important point. The one thing that defines MAGA is the lack of post-secondary education. I meant after high school. You can call it whatever you want. If that's secondary, then it's my error. So, by your definition, a bachelor's degree is not enough to have an educated opinion? If so, what exactly should your "post-secondary" education be? Master's? P.H.D.? In what field? Does continued education in your field count if you "only" have a B.D.?
Edited to add: I am sorry, but secondary education was ALWAYS after high school to me. I see NOW that it is considered High School, which was also still considered primary in my time. So with that said, may I see your "statistics" that show Maga is "defined" by the lack of post-secondary education? Who exactly created this definition?
Just going by the stats, Grip. When they do surveys, the one thing that's sticks out is the educational difference between Trump supporters and other candidates. I find that sad, too. I'm really not all that "educated" either, but I haven't lost my respect for education. My mother was offered a Rhodes scholarship.

Please cite these “stats” and “surveys”. I am truly interested to see who gathered this info with major emphasis on the “who” and “how” many participated.Just going by the stats, Grip. Waste of my time. You'll only tell us how biased "the media" is. Google it yourself. Please cite these “stats” and “surveys”. I am truly interested to see who gathered this info with major emphasis on the “who” and “how” many participated.
Interesting. So, male pattern baldness isn’t the only trait that skips a generation, eh?My mother was offered a Rhodes scholarship.

You make a startling statement and then want MSU158 to go and prove it is correct for you. That is not something that a well educated guy would do. Your claim is totally bogus. Own it.Waste of my time. You'll only tell us how biased "the media" is. Google it yourself.
I found a few articles about education levels among white voters on FiveThirtyEight and this one (link below) from Pew Research that shows the education level among groups of "validated" Democrat and Republican voters over the past few elections. Please cite these “stats” and “surveys”. I am truly interested to see who gathered this info with major emphasis on the “who” and “how” many participated.
Interesting that they are only referencing "white voters". A very large percentage of college students come out of college dumb as dirt (I can post plenty of videos showing this) College education isn't much on education anymore unless you are specifically seeking a profession like engineer or doctor. Many individuals have skipped the worthless degree (ofttimes) and the massive debt to go to trade school instead. Many college student major in totally worthless fields that will never pan out to get a job. I have high level degrees; but, felt like my real education actually began when I finished college.I found a few articles about education levels among white voters on FiveThirtyEight and this one (link below) from Pew Research that shows the education level among groups of "validated" Democrat and Republican voters over the past few elections.
Good one dubInteresting. So, male pattern baldness isn’t the only trait that skips a generation, eh?
Thank you for that. It seems to do quite a solid job of proving my point, although the sample size is so small(averages about 7,000 per year without saying how many of those were democrat or Republican.). Considering over 160 million voted….I found a few articles about education levels among white voters on FiveThirtyEight and this one (link below) from Pew Research that shows the education level among groups of "validated" Democrat and Republican voters over the past few elections.
Google it yourself. I've gone down too many rabbit holes with Trumpers already. You make a startling statement and then want MSU158 to go and prove it is correct for you. That is not something that a well educated guy would do. Your claim is totally bogus. Own it.
It's because they don't exist. Hot garbage right here.Waste of my time. You'll only tell us how biased "the media" is. Google it yourself.
You're making it hard to hate Penn State fans...How about a little more BBQ talk and a lot less politics. Don't get me wrong I love a good political debate but not on a wrestling board. Here is my latest attempt at something a little out there in the BBQ world.
Pork shoulder smoked and pulled
finishing sauce
coleslaw
finely grated pepper jack cheese
mix this all up and roll in an egg roll wrapper. Fry it up because we all know that the good stuff is fried. Give it a dip in your favorite bbq sauce.
Just for reference my finishing sauce is apple juice concentrate, maple syrup, cider vinegar, onion, garlic, mustard, pepper, red pepper flakes, touch of molasses, and or brown sugar if you like it really sweet. Bring it to a boil and then let it sit and the flavor come together. It is not a thick sauce. Pour a little over your pork as you pull it. Keeps it moist and juicy.... the way meat is intended to be.....
I am a wrestling fan first. I follow Penn State as they have some almost local boys on the team. Hoopes. My cousin was on the Iowa team. Lofthouse, the ultimate redneck bowhunter. My daughter wrestled at the JUCO level. We have our fandom but in the end we are all fans of the greatest and most humbling of sports. I tend to follow individuals more so than teams. Penn State is the program I follow most closely as I followed the Sanderson boys in HS. They also did local clinics my boys attended. Personal favorite wrestlers to follow currently, Hardy, Van Ness and Haines, O'Toole, Carr, Siebrecht, Swid, and Hendrickson. I like guys that let it rip. May or may not get beat but when they get going it looks like 2 tom cats in a gunny sack. Also guys that I have a personal tie to. Hardy and my son scrapped at camps. His HS coach grew up in our little corner of the world and his name on the wrestling room wall. You're making it hard to hate Penn State fans...

Even then, over that 4 year span, 68% had at least some college that voted Republican, while 77% democrats had at least some college. So, it would absolutely be fair to say democrats have a higher percentage with higher learning. However, it is absolutely ridiculous to say the “MAGA” are defined by having no higher learning.
Finally, it not showing how many voted each way of the amount surveyed further diminishes how accurate you can use these figures for this purpose. On top of that it shows that 1/3 of those voters were over 65 and Protestant. I just don’t see how you can begin to make such a negative claim as grapple did based on such limited and nonspecific data.
Primary education was ALWAYS k-12 to me. I could have edited that part out as you saw my edit was way before any reply. However, I wanted it there for a very specific reason. Let’s be real, no one with a brain considers high school secondary education.@MSU158 didn't even understand the definition of post secondary. 😬 😆

If you want to try to use my not considering high school secondary education an insult, that says more about you than it does me…
Quoting Wikipedia doesn’t exactly make you look smart, tough guy . However, I already literally said in my original post that I now saw it is considered secondary. I have zero problem conceding the Wikipedia definition.Double down on being wrong. What a surprise.

I simply said that high school was already considered primary education to me and everyone around me throughout my entire life. We didn’t stop at 8th grade and then have a choice to enter high school as a secondary education. To me it is a literal contradiction to call High School secondary schooling if it is also considered primary.
If you want to use these semantics as some form of gotcha on a 47 year old man 20+ years removed from formal education platform wording, feel free. However, I would caution you that it isn’t nearly as damning as you believe it to be…
Not going back and forth with trump trolls today. Maybe next year. Have nice life. It's because they don't exist. Hot garbage right here.
Considering I covered it all in my own personal edit prior to anyone even responding, your finding irony at all, let alone finding enough to find it hilarious says way more about you than me.It's not just the Wikipedia definition. It's the conventional definition you'll find under any conventional and reputable source.
"Let’s be real, no one with a brain considers high school secondary education." That sure sounds like you have a problem conceding the definition.
It's not that big of a deal that you didn't know the term, although it is hilariously ironic considering the point you were trying to make.
Honestly, I would be interested to know as well. It truly did surprise me that secondary education was considered anything other than after high school. I always figured grade school was primary and encompassed “grades” 1-12 with Kindergarten becoming a stable part of that in the 90’s as it was more like pre-school in the early 80’s.Honestly, curious to see how many people agree with MSU's definition of "secondary school". The only way I've ever known it is as meaning high school, and "post-secondary" or "higher" education means anything past high school.
Primary/Elementary is K-5 and Secondary is 6-12, with secondary being split up as middle school for 6-8 and high school being 9-12
Come on guys I tried to derail the derailment with the most universal of all conversations. BBQ and what happens you go back to trolling.
How about some jalapeño poppers.
crispy fried bacon crumbled
cream cheese
fine grated sharp cheddar
seasonings
cored and seeded jalapenos (I like to toss them in boiling salt water for a couple minutes to tone down the bite.)
Mix all the good stuff and fill the peppers.
take a boned out chicken thigh and pound it out to 1/4" or less thick. wrap the pepper in the thigh. Then wrap some thin sliced quality bacon around the thigh and secure with a toothpick. lay them out on the smoker at about 275 for 30-45 minutes turning to get nice crispy bacon and grill marks. When the cheese is hot. the chicken cooked. and the bacon crispy they are ready for show time.
Perfect appetizer for a night watching wrestling or election results....
