We have a 90 year old house and would like to replace the front door. Due to the age of the house the current door has odd measurements. It is 35 3/8 wide by 81 3/8 high and 2 inches thick. We are wondering what size of door to buy - would it be best to have the installer widen the frame a bit or to narrow it? I think either way the installer will also have to lower the frame height.
And does anyone have recommendations for installers? We are deciding between fiberglass and steel if that makes a difference. Thanks.
