Random question:
Lets just say Iowa & Wisky had both finished 5-1 in the West Division & 7-1 overall in B1G play. I know Iowa would still be going to the championship game in that scenario because of the head-to-head tiebreaker rule.
My question is this: does the B1G label two schools in that position as "co-divisional champions?" Or do they simply call Iowa in that example as the division champ?
Nothing official on www.bigten.org or in the rules use the wording "co-champ," but a friend of mine is arguing that Iowa would've been branded as a co-champion of the west division in that scenario. I disagree.
