Hawkeye Football Great Quinn Early to Grand Marshal Iowa Homecoming Parade
Former Hawkeye wide receiver and standout Quinn Early will return to his alma mater to grand marshal the University of Iowa Homecoming Parade.
The parade will begin at 5:45 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 15, in downtown Iowa City.
Early graduated from Iowa in 1987 and has since played in the NFL and worked in Hollywood as an actor and stuntman. He is currently stunt doubling for Carl Weathers on the set of the Disney+ mega hit series The Mandalorian.
Early is also a screenwriter and recently completed a screenplay titled The Angel of Harlem and the Hawkeye, which is the story of Frank Kinney Holbrook, Iowa’s first Black intercollegiate athlete.
