Quote from Belichick

On what are you basing this, other than pulling an opinion out of your ass? Looking at the offer lists, Iowa offers plenty of 4 and 5-star guys. There is a difference between recruiting 4 and 5-star guys and getting them to come to your school. People may disagree with me (and probably will) but KF coaching at OSU, Michigan or PSU, where recruiting is largely self-sustaining, would be a very successful endeavor.
Exactly. Thanks for a reasoned post amid the lunacy.......:)

It's the system, the coaches and above all it's the LINE. Brady isn't an overly mobile QB but has a little better than average movement in the pocket. He doesn't have a strong arm. He isn't an athletic freak. He was drafted in the 6th round and was a game manager most of the time for Michigan. There was very little about him that would lead anyone to believe he would be a standout in the NFL yet he has led the patriots to 8 championship games.
I'll say it again. It's the system, the coaches and above all it's the LINE.

New England’s offensive line has been garbage for about five years straight now.

Right... The only four time BIG coach of the year and he'd go 3-9 at OSU with their talent, because he's some kind of idiot, correct? Some of you guys need to get a new gig. You make a piss poor troll.......
.......
Thank you

The most amazing thing is how New England has been so successful with the NFL version of Iowa's WR corp.

Actually, There are statistics that disagree with you. PFO rates the New England offensive line as the BEST run blocking line in the NFL in 2017 and the 14th best in pass protection. However the caveat is that he holds onto the ball longer than most QB's which causes more hurries and sacks. So, I respectfully disagree.

And a reputation of cheating.

All teams cheat, every single game. That's why there are refs there and penalties called. Go back and listen to some of the old dudes and what they used to do on the field back in the day. They know what they are doing. So a DB is gonna get blown by for a TD if he doesn't grab the receiver, is that cheating if he grabs the receiver so as not to get beat?? It is against the rules to do it.

Right there are no big names there. Amazing that it has been plug and play. It helps that Brady is a machine and lives such a disciplined life.

People always overexaggerate Saban's failure in the NFL. He only coached for two years. Saban took over a 4-12 team and almost led them to the playoffs in his first season at 9-7. Gus Frerotte was their quarterback. The next year they signed Culpepper hoping to upgrade at QB and he never recovered from the injury he sustained the year before. They started Joey Harrington 11 games that season, an injured Culpepper 4 games and Cleo Lemon.

He was going to have issues with guys that make the $$$$. A little harder to motivate.

It is not all about talent. It’s about dependability, consistency, being coachable, and understanding what you need to do to improve. – Bill Belichick
Pretty much what Ferentz believes, especially with receivers.
Unfortunately, Bill is better at it.
Yes he tries harder no? Yo pray for surf.

Bill also said nobody is above criticism. And that includes himself, the GOAT. He tears into Brady at times but that doesnt mean he doesnt like him or think hes a great qb. I wish some of the posters who are sensitive or defensive about kirk would grasp that concept. Instead of telling people to go root for the clones or whatever....

Would love to see what a KF philosophy could do at a Michigan, Penn St., Ohio St. etc.

Will never know the answer & happy to have him.
I believe he would be very good if he had their recruiting stature.

Everyone has their own opinion. I don't see KF as having the personality to be a great recruiter or being a great X/O guy or kick ass CEO. The guy's that have been super successful in college football are Nick Saban and Pete Carroll and Urban Myers. KF is not like those guys. KF has found his niche at Iowa...low expectations and good financial resources, just do enough. 7-5 with 2 home games vs patsies is pretty low bar.
