What broadcast did you watch
@What Would Jesus Do? ?
When watching the replay of the NBC primetime crew their coverage is much different--
This is what happened ( Just an FYI Winny is the Kenya runner, Cory is the American since you didn't know their names in the OP)
The play-by-play person Bill Spaulding says, we had a fall and I think it might be Winny Chebets and Cory McGee. ( This happens at 42:25 of the broadcast 2:09.05 race time) Then Bill says he thought it might have been Purrier and Kipyegon ( 42:33 broadcast 2:18.8 race time)
Bill comments about a faller in all the distance races thus far and says THEY are a long long way back. Also says it is such a shame
The analyst ( Tim Hutchins) comes in at this point and says no shame in falling, mentions falls in each race (43:03 2:49.2), and finishes with that he doesn't know if either woman has the wherewithal to make up the distance.
We have the bell for the last lap
The next mention is that " two women aspirations to be in the top 5 already fallen as they crashed to the track " 43:28 3:11.42
Next mention is after the race when Cory McGee is crying and Tim says you can see the anguish
Next mention 45:19 they show collision andBill says such a shame for,
Winny Chebet and Cory Mcgee- As the camera goes back to a crying McGee, Bill says credit to her to finish but that has to be a heartbreak
This portion of broadcasts end at 45:33
I will hold my other questions which center around how pathetic it is for someone to lie in an attempt to make a point. The assumption is you watched another feed that I have not seen, and that feed will explain your original post that now looks like a complete fabrication.
