RBY to PSU per Twitter

I hope they get the bubonic plague and spread it to the rest of the team and all their fans.

It was all that Cael's fault, everyone knows that. If we had followed Gables advice, Shoot More , like we were supposed to, Iowa would have won more Championships, Anyone better than Iowa wrestling should die of gonorrhea and rot in hell. Would you like a cookie, son?

9.9 schoarlship limit?
So PSU lands 2 more blue chip top ten PFP Out of State kids. How is this financially possible? Psu is loving this but this is a bad trend for the sport of wrestling. And judging by twitter, Gable Stevenson has all but committed there as well.
Scholarship limits are meant to prevent this type of hording of talent. Remember when Mejia and Renteria decomitted cause of lack of scholly money?
The stockpile of elite talent by the best recruiter in wrestling has all but insures other teams will have to pull off perfect NCAA runs to even contend with them for titles. Parity is a good thing. Hording the sports best young talents in one school is a bad thing.
I'd would say the same thing if Iowa was hauling in out of state top pfp recruits like this. As it is, it's a must now for Iowa to land both Berge and Warner to stay competitive with psu.
Cheering for individual titles contenders is exciting, but the intrigue of a competitive team race is something a lot more fans can get behind.

I don't care who PSU lands. Recruit better and develop better and beat their ass. There's no crying in Baseball or Iowa Wrestling.

Rah Rah, the Hawkeye mantra. I get it. It's what we will do and must do to be competitive.
My main gripe is that psu didn't need these kids to be team title contenders. Imagine if they had both gone to NCSt or North Carolina or even Minny. That's be another program on the rise. More fans. More competitive duels. More intrigue.
Again, 9.9 does not apply to psu?

23 so far is exactly right. PSU has won 5 of the last 6 and have a living legend as coach. Why is anyone surprised that they continue to land top talent? They aren't going to go through some magical recruiting drought. Other teams have to rise up and beat them because it isn't going to happen any other way. Next year was always going to be a big class for them. Iowa will likely have Lee, Berge, Warner, and Teasdale as top 10 p4p guys over the next two classes which will match PSU. Time to step up and beat them

So I get this kind of post a year or so ago but currently Iowa has (overall rankings according to FLO) #1 Lee, #59 Murin, and #87 Troy committed with #5 Warner and #6 Berge currently on a visit and being rumored as strong Iowa leans...for the same class PSU has #8 Lee and an outside shot at #6 Berge and a very very outside shot at #3 Fix.

It looks like Iowa has recently managed to recruit as well or better than anyone else. If Iowa lands even one of Berge or Warner then it's an insane class and there's a good chance they still get both. Not a lot to complain about there if you ask me...

I love what PSU is doing and I'm plenty spoiled as a fan, but clearly Iowa is getting their piece of the recruiting pie too!

Dude! The exact same thing was said about Iowa for 35 fricking years! I didn't feel sorry for them and I'm sure they don't feel sorry for us.

What I imagine, is that Iowa recruits better and has the guys they do get wrestle better and beat EVERYBODY out there. Not like we need some miracle. Get better.

Read it and weep:

PSU: #1,3,3,3,4,5,5,7,10,12 on the roster with 4,5,8,10 recruited. top ten mean avg is 5.3
Iowa: #2,8,14,16,19,20,23,25,27 rostered with 1 and 2 in the pipeline. top nine mean ave is 17.1

cali, you are correct, Iowa, with #1 Lee and #59 Murin are nice gets, and PSU got #8 Lee. Berge and Warner haven't yet said where they're headed, so let's wait and see on that. But that is only for 2017, a single year.

2016 PSU pulled in #1 Hall, #2, Suriano, and #5 Manville. I don't recall any year in recent decades that saw so many of the top 5 p4p all headed to one school. By comparison, Iowa got #3 Marinelli.

Overall, looking at 2011, 2012, 2013, 2014, and 2015, PSU got 8 top 10 p4p recruits #1 McIntosh, #3 Megaludis, #3 Gulibon, #3 Retherford, #4 Nolf, #5 Nevills, #7 Nickal, and #5 Vincenzo.

During those same 5 years, Iowa pulled in a single top 10 p4p, in #8 Kemerer

So, looking beyond the single year of class 2017, you have to admit, Iowa (or any other school) has not come close to PSU with regards to getting top 10 recruits.

Fully admitted!

My point is that Iowa has come back to the recruiting party and it starts with this 2017 class!

It's probably not fair to include rumored leans so we'll have to revisit this in mid November when a few more guys have signed on the dotted line, but Lee alone makes this class HUGE and it really could just be the beginning for you guys...then throw in Gavin the following year and recruiting starts to take care of itself a bit too.

I think Iowa has done their part to keep up with what they've done this past year in the recruiting department and it looks like it may just keep up for awhile. Plus, probably your 3 biggest recruits in the last two seasons have come from PA...I'm just pointing out that it's not like TnT and M* are taking a nap while Cael goes out shopping for whatever kids he chooses.

It most certainly DOES NOT suck to be a PSU fan, but I don't think it's all that rough as an Iowa fan either.

"It's rigged"
I knew The Donald had pretended to be a Hawkeye fan earlier this year but didn't know he posted here. If you don't like it don't accept it. :)

Scholarship limit? We don't need no stinking scholarship limit.

I hope the NCAA investigates their program and puts them on probation.
Come on! Go for it.
I hope the NCAA investigates their program and..................lines up the whole team, the coaches, all the fans, and their big pile of money and burns them all with a flame thrower. Slowly.

Is this mean? I hope RBY develops a love of physics in school, and quits wrestling so he can spend more time in the lab working with lasers.

Neither did I, honestly.

All right, maybe I took John Basedow too seriously. The Altons didn't meet expectations because of their injuries.

Whejoe, very creative, well done.

Btw, I wish Lee and Teasdale success against everyone except Penn State.

How do you think the new Iowa recruits feel when they read you'se guys opinions on other teams recruits? Kinda throwing them under the bus, don't you think? You guys picked up some good ones this year. Show them some respect.

Win something or stop crying sour grapes. Your not helping your recruits with your crying.

Iowa has recruits with thick skin. They arent nearly offended as a lot of these sensitive posters are im sure. Embrace the Grind!
