Hawks will have a lot of visitors for spring practices and the night spring game. Will be interesting to see who our spring commits will be. I think we have 8 commits by June!
Don't forget the wide receiver that chose Michigan over Iowa. Didn't he grow up and go to school in Iowa City? I believe his name was Oliver Martin and he attended Iowa City West?Yeah, the ones who are easier to hold on to are the Iowa kids who grew up wanting to play for the Hawks. Except that one guy a top Alabama and the kid who went to Michigan State.
Keep throwing for 12 yards a game and you'll keep seeing Iowa receiver talent land elsewhere, and how the hell could you blame them?Don't forget the wide receiver that chose Michigan over Iowa. Thanks for your research, but he said 12 yards per GAME, not per attemptFWIW, every NFL team wished they averaged 12 yards per attempt. And, the top 25 in NCAA. Just say'n.

Newsome visited yesterday. I think there are several kids in from Indy this weekend and also a LBer out of Ohio.Sorry to change the topic a bit, but does anyone know who is visiting this weekend other than the 2 kids from Glenbard North, Newsome and Henderson? It sounds like there will be a few others.
Indianapolis Ath/rb/wr prospect-Tyrone Tracy-is scheduled to be there. Iowa is looking good to gain his services at this early juncture. Iowa has been recruiting him as a slot receiver.Sorry to change the topic a bit, but does anyone know who is visiting this weekend other than the 2 kids from Glenbard North, Newsome and Henderson? Warriner-the lb out of Ohio- is visiting the 15th of April. Is there another lb from Ohio visiting this weekend?Newsome visited yesterday. I think there are several kids in from Indy this weekend and also a LBer out of Ohio.
Canaan Cox. Quite a few family ties to the state of Iowa. Visited the state quite a few times. My guess is, the staff will evaluate how his senior year goes. They are going hard after "slot" wr, Tyrone Tracy, right now. If that doesn't work out, Cox could be in line for a harder look from the staff.I would like to see us offer that Canaan RB out of Carolina. Very fast, little guy. Can start and stop on a dime and make people miss. Great vision.
What else do you want? Also, he WANTS to be a Hawk. After Wadley graduates, who do we have that can make people miss?
Sig, I thought I read that he would be here this weekend but you are more tuned in than I am. I watched his video, really like Warriner, definitely a down hill player who brings it. FWIW, Doyle's kid seems like the same type of LBer, likes to bring it.Warriner-the lb out of Ohio- is visiting the 15th of April. Is there another lb from Ohio visiting this weekend?
Sidenote-Warriner's dad is the current OL coach/run game coordinator on Fleck's staff at Minny. He had been on Meyer's staff at OSU until Meyer hired Kevin Wilson to run the offense.Sig, I thought I read that he would be here this weekend but you are more tuned in than I am. That's too bad, like this young man. Probably a gopher lean.Sidenote-Warriner's dad is the current OL coach/run game coordinator on Fleck's staff at Minny. He had been on Meyer's staff at OSU until Meyer hired Kevin Wilson to run the offense.
I don't know enough about him. You never know what a kid is really thinking. That's too bad, like this young man. Probably a gopher lean.

Well critics are going to criticize that's what they do.... I take solace in the fact that they likely get lambasted every day by somebody criticizing them.
As far as the passing game goes honestly I don't know that we are going to sign top-tier wide receiver talent as far as the rankings go ever but we certainly should have more production then we do and as far as a recruiting goes. I have a way different approach than some, if there was even a chance a kid is going to be dissatisfied with his decision about coming to Iowa I'm glad they went elsewhere and I feel the same way about employees in my workplace. It's the best way to lose cohesion & chemistry. If Oliver Martin never made it to the Nike camp he'd have never been missed by any of you.
It's a super fickle thing to follow or get upset about. Though I know many of you will....LOL
Honestly very few of the kids that left Iowa have went elsewhere and found a great start… Except in basketball LOL
And no matter who we sign people are going to bitch that's what "those people" do
Does it not get tiring for you rolling out that same shtick in every post? I know people bitch, they're fans, but I'd rather see that than see you bitch about them bitching in EVERY SINGLE POST.

Then I'll consider that a job well done on my part
Your job is to make people want to kill you? Weird. Must be quite the miserable life you live.
Canaan is now attending school at Remsen St Marys in little ole Northwest Iowa.
No kidding?
Yep. He will also be running track this Spring.
LOL, yes I was just waiting for you to come back with this....actually I'm a positive, motivational guy but if you worked for me and you were a miserable, bitching, whiny ass, that was always pointing out what was wrong with people or things, I would indeed make your life miserable....and I would remind you constantly how shitty it is to constantly point fingers at people behind their backs or not there to defend themselves....
So there you have it, my life is fantastic, I'm typically fun to be around and very energetic, but I'm hell on the bitchers for sure...so I guess the only types that are miserable around me are guys like you...and I actually have a few of you working for me and every time I catch them in a corner talking crap about how things are, I set them down and point out their idiocy.
