Refrigerator help!!

So when I push the lever for water to come out of my fridge it doesn't work. I thought possibly the waterline in the back had a kink. Pulled it out and it was fine.

I also emptied the ice maker to see if the refrigerator wasn't getting any water to make ice either. The next day I opened it and it was full again.

Any ideas what the issue may be?
Be careful. (this is not your problem currently) but I know someone who left for a weeks vacation and came back to a flooded house due to the little plastic hose to the fridge. I would upgrade to one of those braided stainless steel hoses if I were you.

Braided SS, or the 1/8" (whatever the size is) flexible copper line; never use polymer/plastic to connect your fridge.

Always a good idea to have the in-line valve at the wall as well, although many people tap off a faucet line under the sink - you can put one there too. You can always just shut that off (along with your laundry shutoffs) when you are leaving for a vacation. Or, if nothing needs water while you're gone, just shut off your house main inlet valve. 'Course, this could also shut off your sprinklers....depending on the connections.

I believe it's plastic, I will look tonight. Thanks
