Ok Trumpers: How much do you want trump to spend to mass deport 12 million people

I think the concentration camps are more likely.

Or were those reserved for the LBGTQ community?

One of the largest groups currently entering the US are from China. Why should Mexico take Chinese citizens? All the people from Europe who overstayed a visa are going to Mexico?
You really think trump is going to ask mexico if they will take the people?

Estimates are almost half a trillion dollars. And where is he getting the people power to do the arrests. As was mentioned, ICE/police etc usually have about 5 officers to every person they are detaining so 5 times 12 million is either 60 million ICE/Police to do the deportation all at once or taking all the ICE and police out of their normal duties and using all the armed forces to do it over 2 to 4 years.

Oh and by the way, I cant wait to see what is Tariff and other economic policies are. Are all of you hoping for 20% tariffs on all imports??????
Twenty to 40% tariffs will make prices jump so high people will be wanting back the days of 9% inflation and price gouging.
I heard some interesting conversation on TV today from an Indiana Republican senator…he mentioned that if they make it illegal with $ penalties (& enforce it) for companies to not be able to hire illegals, many of the illegal migrants will return to their country of origin as they simply won’t have $ to stay in the U.S.

As long as they can find work there's no reason to leave. Hoping they self deport, because Trump has no real solution, only proves how worthless he really is.
You’ve actually made a good point when you said…”as long as they can find work there’s no reason to leave”. If U.S. gov’t makes it not only illegal to hire an illegal migrant, but start heavily fining companies that do…many migrants simply won’t have the funds to remain in the U.S. We need to take away any incentive(s) for illegal migrants to want to come to this country.

I say spend the money and let America suffer the consequences. Be very thorough. Include denaturalization for those latins who voted for Trump. Watch the farmers squirm when their crops die on the vine. Housing prices soar. Scorched earth.
If migrants want to stay in this country, let them apply to do so legally. What is so hard to understand about this concept? If a migrant is an economic positive to this country, then by all means they can be here. However, we don’t need more people on welfare, i.e., those that don’t want to work go back to their country of origin.

Got it. It’s cool to be here under false pretenses if you are white.
Like I keep saying in various threads, as long as you dems keep up with all your ism’s, phobia’s, etc crap going you will continue to lose elections. Most people don’t look at those things, more concerned with real issues like how to pay for shit.

Owners and companies have been hiring illegals for decades and I bet there are not one handful of those owners who went to jail or got fined. Toothless.

And if all the illegals didnt get jobs and left the US who would do all these construction and manual labor jobs? To get US citizens to pick lettuce and onions you would have to pay them twice as much and prices would soar

One thing that needs to be pointed out, dems always wanted open borders. They never wanted to close the border, they just wanted to process immigrants faster.

Massachusetts governor just announced she will refuse to help Trump deport immigrants. Newsome said the same thing. So it was all a lie when dems said they were trying to close the border.

How much money are dems willing to spend in lawsuits trying to prevent deportation?
Who is going to reroof your house, put up your drywall, pick all the crops, and do a lot of the manual labor jobs for non-union wages if you get your wish and 12-15 million illegals get deported.

This is not a simple problem. Trump uses all these things as dog whistles to gin and stir up voters then he hardly ever follows through on his promises because he knows he has a 4 year job where somehow he will line his pocket.

Gotta have those minorities so we can use them to do slave labor in bad conditions.

I may be late to the party, but I would like to highlight Mr. David Stockman's perspective on this whole mess. His opinion of Mr. Stephen Miller is especially noteworthy:

While this is a problem on some levels, there is no need to spend a trillion dollars to "fix" it. It is President Biden's legacy and will go into the history books as such. I am sure that ultimately many of them will return home, but only after the cartels are under control and accordingly we should be focusing on that situation within the borders of our biggest trading partner. ... or focus on tearing down and reconstructing Obamacare which IS a genuine mess.

In any case, Mr. Stockman who is usually right on the money does not mince words.
............................................................................................................

The hagiography of Donald Trump has started. The one below by the very evil Stephen Miller should be a wake-up call as to what lies immediately ahead. This dude is among the nastiest of the immigrant-howlers and border “invasion” propagandists, and he is heading straight for a high berth in the Donald’s government in waiting.

Needless to say, if he succeeds in duping Trump into launching a massive multi-million person deportation drive—complete with nation-wide midnight raids and swelling internment camps—right out of the gate on January 20th, the second Trump Administration will be stillborn.

On the one hand, such a misguided action would hammer tens of thousands of small businesses which employ 8.5 million illegal aliens in labor intensive industries across the length and breadth of the land, and which workers currently pay upwards of $100 billion per year in taxes. At the same time, a sweeping outbreak of litigation and Congressional intervention would also ensue, fostering bitter political polarization and legislative and judicial combat far more intense than what has already materialized to date.

Yes, there are undoubtedly a few thousand criminals who have been released into the interior under Washington’s absurd “parole” system, but those can be targeted as a matter of prioritized regular law enforcement. What is not remotely needed, however, is the arrest and deportation of millions of economic migrants who are filling the yawning gaps in America’s worker-hungry economy.

These hard-working folks at construction sites, warehouses, chicken-slaughtering plants, fast food joints, landscaping operations etc. are “illegal” only because Federal law requires them to violate an ancient Federal statute in order to get arrested, scheduled for an asylum hearing and paroled into the economy, waiting months and years for their hearings and adjudication.

This is Big Government statism run wild. In fact, if there were a decent sized immigration quota of say 500,000 per year for unskilled workers versus the current ludicrous cap of 10,000, none of these 8.5 million workers would be “illegal” or standing in the path of the Donald’s impending raids. To the contrary, they would have gotten a green card long ago and many of them would have already earned their citizenship in the regular way.

Yet here is Miller’s over-the-top valorization of Donald Trump, implying that the very gods of history have chosen him to thwart a foreign “invasion” that is nothing of the kind; and which actually represents the free market trying to balance labor supply and demand by working around the idiotic obstacles posed by the Washington politicians...

Mr. Trump, please do not lead with this issue ... You will be wasting political capital.

People will still come for the schools, for family, and any work they can get, even if it's criminal. Until the U.S. becomes a worse opportunity than where they're at, they will keep coming. Wouldn't you?
I said "curb". Not stop. Right now, the number one main reason they come here is for work. Work that we actually need them to do, but that is an aside. If they don't have a job, the vast majority of them won't come. Take care of the biggest reason first and it's the cheapest to implement other than the cost to house employers in jail until the employers decide the risk is not worth it.

Correct. I’m sure farmers will see massive waves of hard-working Americans lining up for those jobs.

I'll be honest. I'm fine with all of these illegal immigrants. If we really do have 20 million of them we've only gotten stronger as an economy and our crime rates have only kept going down. That's a great result. But I know I'm in the minority with this view. If the voters want to jack with that winning recipe then that's their right to do.

He will start with the criminal history first. That one should be rather easy. Then figure out if the good, working ones will vote R and choose accordingly.

1. Cut off all government benefits to illegals.
2. Fully Enforce the laws that prevent companies from hiring illegals and up the penalties and fines for non-compliance.
3. Offer the illegals one opportunity to leave on their own with assistance and they will have the opportunity to apply for legal entry.
& inform those that need to be deported will never have the opportunity to apply through legal means in the future.
4. Re-assign the 87,000 new IRS agents we are already paying to go after citizens and re-assign them to ICE.

What government benefits do they receive?

Many of these people left their countries to escape horrendous, murderous conditions. Would you gamble on taking your family back?

America always has been a mecca. I'll bet your ancestors thought so.

What people don't realize is that by removing these workers you're eliminating a large portion of the lower pay working class. What will be left is the non-working class followed by the middle class. There will be a huge gap and our country can't function in that manner.

They'll all return to their home countries to produce goods for import, subject to tariffs, of course. THAT will surely bring prices down.
Good point.

Many (most?) illegal immigrants come here to better themselves economically.

Most of the nations we want to send people back to are struggling economically. Often (but not always) partly due to US policies.

Now we're going to send them back while also imposing tariffs on imports from those nations - which will harm those economies and create even more pressure to come here for a better life.

Think about it.

NPR mentioned this AM that Trump has started to modify his words, no saying that "criminals", will be deported.
What does that mean? Aren't they all criminals if they came here without documentation?

That was a big point of debate in 2020. Many Dem candidates advocated decriminalizing undocumented border entry. Those advocating that position (including Kamala, iirc) were mocked and rejected and, of course, no such legislation was passed.

So if Trump actually said that and acts on it, will that help anyone at all?

Who did all those jobs before the Biden administration let in so many illegal immigrants?
I sure hope you are asking a rhetorical, facetious question as illegal immigrants have been working millions of jobs for decades. Do you not read the news and I think a whole lot of them work meat packing and processing jobs around the country. Owners of big companies and small have been having these workers many times fill jobs for less pay so they can make more profit. A pretty sleazy thing since it is against the law

I dunno dems, how much did we spend as a result of you dip shits letting 12 million illegals in these last 4 years?

Yeah, the nazis tried it. The issue with plans like this is where to those people go? What countries are going to take bus? train? plane loads of 25 million people?
The reason the nazi's called it the 'final solution' is because the first solution was to deport all the jews and other 'undesirables'. When no one would take them they started killing them.
So...who is going to take 25 million 'illegals'?
That is a good question. Too bad the Biden Administration didn’t think of that when they were letting all these unvetted people into our country.
