So under 2 min's what is reviewable in college basketball? I realize College basketball reviews who last touched it and clock errors. I think its time they go to a review basis and allow "over-turn" calls to the game. I mean last night was a CRITICAL ERROR in officiating and that should not happen. These guys are pulling in 1-2k a game and they make that bad of a mistake.

Also the two other officials bailed and I know for a fact an official had to be within an ear shot of the other players and no one signaled it. No one even looked for it.

I would say under 2 min allow everything be reviewed. I get it that there might be "longer" games or have a replay official in a truck outside and they could buzz down and inform them to look at the last call. They could of easily stated that Player A foot was out bounds, therefore no jump ball call. Iowa called a Time-out and therefore will be grated a TO. I don't know exactly how to do it, but things like that should not happen.

I don't know it sucks Iowa lost. I do however believe if Brady attacks dribbling the middle he would of gotten his TO or most likely a foul. Instead he dribbled back into a corner which I know from elementary school basketball you never should do that.

In defense of Brady dribbling into the corner which even in elementary school bball you shouldn't do wasn't the smartest move but even the idiots they get to ref those games or YMCA ball would give the 2nd grader a time out when he asked for one and not call the jump ball.

Not a smart move by Brady but I think he thought, "I will dribble back and call timeout," which he did. In fact, two other players were calling timeout. I also think that because he was calling timeout, he simply bent over and called it rather than try to pivot away from the defenders and keep the ball away. He made two mistakes: not being more obvious in the timeout call and then to relax by assuming the referees heard the call. It is hard to blame him too much because you could actually hear him call timeout.

Agree with Gary- Waterloo. Not to blame Ellingson, but he should have been way more demonstrative about the time out.

Of course the missed free throw by Baer is not being mentioned or missing 10 during the game had no effect on the out come.....interesting. Iowa is a young team the actions of the coaches, players, and yes the men that are put into position to fairly monitor the game effect the outcome of every game.

Iowa put themselves into the position to allow the men in stripes to decide the outcome by missing opportunities presented to them during the game, and to dispute that is being narrow minded. Did Iowa make a strong comeback from 14 down to take a lead with under a minute left....very commendable for a young team that relies on so many freshman, but if Iowa had made just 1 more free throw we all might be celebrating a victory instead of a defeat.

Learn to make those uncontested penalty shots and maybe in future games Iowa can avoid what happened last night....

While I certainly agree with the idea that Iowa could have done more to ensure a victory, I don't agree with the equity of the comparison.

Making a free throw requires a finite motor skill which under pressure and stress is most certainly effected. On the other hand, the blown call(s) last night requires common sense among THREE officials to reign, and they are also granted a 'do-over' if they want by using a review process if they miss a call.

So to truly equivocate one to the other would mean you give three different Iowa players an opportunity to shoot that free throw, and then if they miss they can huddle together and talk about it before shooting them again.

I think MN missed a similar number of free throws so not sure that should be a big issue. Brady putting himself in the corner was a very poor choice and not one that a college player should be making no matter what age IMO. In addition, you have Fran's inability to coach the end game and set up a decent play and it is disaster in these situations

Solid point, Iowa actually shot a better % than Minnesota (71% to 64%).
