Riley Till is in Transfer Portal

But NO ONE KNEW until the tweet on the 28th. NOBODY!!!!!!!!!!

The whole argument started because Fran thought it was a "fair" question for someone to ask if Till's scholarship was pulled. He believes Till would have been on scholarship next year if he didn't leave, so there's no changing his mind. This argument is pointless.

Are you capable of telling the truth? I did not believe Till would have been on scholarship next year if he didn't leave. I had no idea what the discussions were between Riley and Fran. No one did And that's the point. I did, however, point out that Fran has never put a player on scholarship one year and then have that player walk on the following year.

Please stick with the facts and the truth. Is it that hard for you and Uno?

The tweet said for the 2019-2020 season, not for the rest of his eligibility. I don’t understand what’s so hard to understand that it was a one year deal. Fran, let it go man. It’s over.

Very true. Has he had a walk on get a scholarship for a year and then transfer to another school the next year?
Whichever way you want to slice it Till wasn’t going to be on scholarship next year, he was very specifically awarded a scholarship for the 19-20 season. See the post earlier with the op’s mentioning that Till wouldn’t be on scholarship next year. Before the magic tweet on the 28th

You are good with hindsight. But that is all you are good at.

I was good enough to find at least 4 posters who stated it before February 28th. Which is 4 more than you have produced saying he would be on scholarship so I have that going for me. Lol. Keep trying, Don Quijote esq of you

Again, Cid, get your facts straight. I have never said he would for sure be on scholarship next season. No one did. So I won't come up with 4 of them when there was ZERO of them.

You tell 2 lies in one post, i point it out, and then your response is that I am off the rails?

You are human garbage.
I’d ask you to come up with some original insults since the human trash thing has run its course, but I know that original thoughts and content aren’t really your thing and don’t want you to strain yourself trying. I’m done here, but will be patiently waiting for you to get the last word in

They are not insults. When you are caught in lies, no one has use for you and you are disposable, like trash. Get it? You are human trash. And that fact will never run its course on here, don't worry.

So zero people thought he would be on scholarship next year but nobody KNEW he wouldn’t be on scholarship until the February 28th magic tweet? That magic tweet that you are now telling me confirmed what nobody thought would happen?
Looks like a great concept to go back and forth on. Sorry I helped perpetuate it.

Again, Cid, get your facts straight, and focus on the words "for sure", ok?

Again, I have never said he would for sure be on scholarship next season. No one did. It was PURE SPECULATION PRIOR TO FEB 28.

And there was plenty of speculation and unanswered questions. A few examples:

(1) Was Riley scheduled to graduate this year or was he on a 5 year undergraduate degree plan?

(2) If Riley was back at Iowa next year, would he still be on scholarship or would he be asked to walk on again? But what was interesting in the speculation is that Fran, in 10 years at Iowa, has never put a player on scholarship one year and then asked him to walk on the next year.

(3) If Riley was going to be back next year AND be on scholarship, how would Fran do that? He had 15 on scholarship at that time. Several posters wondered if Fran would have one of his 2 sons walk on in order to keep Riley on scholarship. Fran has plenty of money, some said, so that speculation, TO SOME POSTERS, was plausible..

The Feb 28 tweet from Mark Emmert of the Register basically spelled it all out and made things clear and helped to answer (1), (2) and (3).

And then when Cordell announced he was transferring, that got us from 14 to 13 on scholarship, which is where we needed to be.

So there you go. Do I need to spell anything else out for you or do you have some more dumb comments to make or more dumb questions to ask?

Or is it time to move on?

Trying to utilize your logic here. Technically we STILL DON’T KNOW. It isn’t absolute yet, still has an opportunity to return. Just saw it happen at Bowling Green, puts name in transfer portal, decides to return to Bowling Green. So the magic tweet, going through Senior Night, mom retweeting, players intentions, your opinion, my opinion.... all don’t matter, currently nobody KNOWS FOR A FACT THAT HE ABSOLUTELY WON’T return. Easy enough, nothing more to confirm until the hard and fast deadline has passed. Keep rattling the chains. It does diminish your credible posts but keep going. Another boring day planned today.

You don't care about the facts?

Wow.
Not in this case, since it has no relevance to my point (which was obvious to everyone but you), which was anyone with at least 1 functioning brain cell knew Riley Till wasn't going to be on scholarship for more than a year.

It's what is referred to as a no- brainer.

You said it was a fair question to ask if Till's scholarship was pulled for 20-21. Why was that fair if you thought he wouldn't be on scholarship or leaving?

At the end of the day I don't really care. You refuse to believe that a lot of people on here assumed he would not be on scholarship and continue to demand people post how they knew. It's a pointless argument that you continue to prolong because you feel the need for validation that you were "right".

I like you as a poster and appreciate all the tweets and links you post. I just don't understand dying on this pointless hill.
