Iowa's only finished in the bottom half of the B1G 3 times in Fran's tenure and 2 of those times were his first 2 seasons. Even with what they lost, it's a stretch to say they'll fall that far. If anyone wants to do a side bet of 10th I'll take it.

Depends on how he does with not being the primary ballhandler and how well the other pgs play. That would put JBo on target to have his lowest scoring season since the one where he only played 10 games and needed hip surgery. I think he can outpace that, especially as the teams SG.
The more TP and Kris are on the floor the better season Iowa will have IMO.Maybe he will but I think the 2 guard starter will be Perkins or Kr. Murray but that’s not my decision. Could be Connor for all I know
He'll be chasing JBO through screens, nut punching people, and using other stellar tactics to try and stop him from hitting 3s....Fortunately JBO should know most of his tactics by now.Lets hope they are correct about Wisconsin since Davison is back for his 32nd year.

Probably correct. I do like the potential of this Iowa team, but from an outsider's perspective i can see why they picked Iowa 10th. Iowa has to have more unknown players come through to be good than really any team above it. It doesn't mean it can't happen, it's the way it is. Iowa had 2 2nd round picks last year and couldn't do better than 4th. Plus lost another starter to transfer in CJ Frederick.
i just don't like all these 9th/10th place predictions for Iowa
9th or 10th is perfectly reasonable for this team. Just which of those teams picked ahead of us do those who disagree think Iowa is better than? Maybe Rutgers? Probably not. I like some of the players on this team and certainly hope they over achieve, but if Fran couldn’t get over the hump last year he most likely never will.
I think Iowa finishes ahead of the following:
4. Ohio State 316
5. Maryland 269
6. Michigan State 262
7. Indiana 219
8. Rutgers 208
10. Wisconsin 149
11. Nebraska 105
T-12. Northwestern 81
T-12. Penn State 81
14. Minnesota 34
I think that's a good perspective.Mu only expectation is to enjoy the ride. Probably some big wins and maybe some beat downs. We will have to see what happens.
They could be right, but, I think we will finish 5th or higher. Call me crazy. …thank you.
Reminds me of when Cook and Moss left. This team is perfectly suited to be like the Wisconsin teams that lose stud players, everyone dismisses in the preseason, and then somehow is right in the thick of it come late February after somehow quietly winning 8 of 10 games. A 5th or 6th place finish wouldn’t surprise me as this team is deep (even if not stacked full of first team B1G talent).
"Their expectations" vs ours. Love it. Go Hawks!
